Paul (the owner) was great. The inner side of the two panes of glass in my sliding glass door randomly shattered but was still in place (hadn't fallen out) -- after looking through Angie's list I decided to call him for an estimate. I think he said he could come by the next day -- but then 20 minutes later he called me back and said due to the situation that the glass could fall out at any time, he felt he should come by that day to look at it and give an estimate. And he did -- with duct tape in hand to see if he could help prevent it from falling down. He explained that a replacement door was unfortunately going to cost significantly more because the door was 8 ft wide and required Columbia's brown color on the outside.  He gave me the quote, some information on the product he uses, and his card and told me to call when I was ready.

I got two additional quotes before calling Paul back. One was by a guy who kept pushing me to sign the contract that night in order to get this great deal that I could only get by signing right then.

It took awhile to actually get the door from the manufacturer because I waited too long to call and tell him to order it -- the had manufacturer closed down for the holidays.  But when it came in, Paul called and we schedule the installation.  Two of his guys were actually early, got everything started and finished the installation with no issues.  Paul called me while they were there and came by when he was able to later that day to check the work and make sure I was satisfied.  He called me again a week or so later to check up and see if I had any questions or problems.

Issues:

The wait to get the door and have it installed was rather long (especially since the glass could fall at any time) but that was just due to poor timing and the time it took me to decide.  The only other issue was that a few weeks later when it was finally warm enough with no snow to go out and really look at it, I found pieces of broken glass on the ground outside -- I didn't watch them take out the broken door but it seemed like they tried to contain most of the pieces from when the shattered pane of glass came out.  However, there were still pieces, both big and small, that I'm having to pick up or do something about in the grass right outside the door.  It's annoying but not such a big deal to me.

Overall:

Going with Innovative Home Improvement (Paul Harrison) did cost more than the others -- possibly significantly more but I also got a high quality product.  And I'm not sure if the other quotes included EVERYTHING or if there would have been additional things like instillation added on (unlike Paul's quote).  I really liked that it's a small company and Paul does great customer service with no pressure sales.  He's the one you talk to, he's the one that came for the estimate and he's the one who came by to make sure the installation went well.  He's easy to get a hold of and calls a week or so after the work is finished to check up and answer any questions.  I think that's rare these days. 

I later called him for a rough estimate on replacing my other sliding glass door which has really bad drafts... it's on my list of things to get done, but it will have to wait until I can afford it.

"Painted entire bathroom, put up linen closet wood shelves, put up 2 mirrors, 2 light fixtures, toilet paper holder, hand towel holder, regular size towel holder, 2 robe hooks, had to make a hole for jacuzzi tub to get to motor if we ever have a problem, put in a glass shelf above the tile around the tub, put handicap rail up, put in shower seat, put fixture in shower handle and shower head, tiled entire shower, above the tub, had to move the light switch like half an inch up, put on light switch covers, put up new blinds I had, painted door and put on new door knob.. I think I got it all lol.. It had a lot of little things that needed done, then the tiling, the floor tile was already done except the step to the tub which was a small step. All my sink & tub fixtures were already done. Everything that was put in I already had that we picked out years ago. I wish I could attach photos it's amazing!

Owner was very professional, the crew did an awesome job and cleaned-up place very nicely after installation. The owner personally inspected all the windows after installation and made sure that I am fully satisfied with their job. I am hoping these windows (Alside-Mezzo w/ low-E glass) with life-time warranty (glass, material, labor) for which I paid some extra $$'s upfront will turn out to be good long-term investment. •   I am so happy that I decided to go with Fox Creek Builders to install my window and 2 sliding glass doors.  From order to install the process was excellent + only took about 3 weeks.  Amazing since it took another vendor a month to tell me they could not fill the order I previously requested.  Max, the owner, came out with Fred to measure and discuss my request.  When Fred installed the custom doors + window they fit better than the original doors they replaced---fit like a glove.  Fred was extremely pleasant, neat + a precision installer.  They removed all the old debris, vacuumed all the rooms, deck + cleaned all the windows after install.  I did not even have to remove my blinds during the process + they were particular about routing my outside cable wire. 
    The doors are very high quality argon + insulated glass.  My husband + I just love how smoothly both the doors + screens move along with the other bells+ whistles.  Even my dog loves the doors + the crew.  Max came out and inspected the job + again explained the features so we did not miss anything.  We couldn't be more pleased with this purchase--well worth the money + I just wish I had done this sooner.  Thanks to the Fox Creek Builders--Great team and Great work.

"We had a few different windows we were looking to replace, including a set of living room windows, with our stated goal of maximizing glass. I provided a photo of the design we wanted, including the limited separation between the panes for site lines. We selected Whiting after several back and forth questioning to confirm that we would be maximizing glass. We were told that the separation would be 5.5" (they knew another contractor stated 6.5", and we thought that was too wide, would disrupt the site line, and looked too chunky). Turns out by 5.5", they meant 8" from pane to pane (vs. about 2" for our original windows)... I noticed during install and told them that was not what we were told we were supposed to be getting. I immediately sent an email to our salesperson and the installer said I would hear from the owner. The response from the sales person (the next day) was essentially, "Sorry you are unhappy, vinyl has a wider frame (NOW THIS COMES OUT?), please send us a check." I sent the owner an email the afternoon of the install to let him know my issues. The owner did not call until the next day, and said that he was not there to hear our conversation so couldn't do much without talking to the sales person. The next communication was to set up a "final walkthru" by the salesperson. I told him that I wanted the owner available by phone so that he can listen in to the issues, I was told he would be, but he was not dialed in during the scheduled walkthru. Again, the salesperson stated the issue was a wrong assumption and miscommunication. He knew exactly why we didn't select another contractor (their window setup was too chunky). We are now stuck w/a window setup that is clearly not maximizing glass. If you know exactly what you want or live in an HOA community, they may be a fine contractor - as the install went pretty well the team was nice and pretty neat. BUT if you are looking for something that isn't specifically designated by HOA limitations -- I would take what they say the product will look like with a grain of salt.

UPDATE: The company offered us a discount to the contract price due to the "miscommunication." I really appreciated the fact that they promptly sent someone out after the fact (including my initial review) after I emailed them about a draft coming in by the windows. They did what they could (which helped), but seems the main issue was that our siding contractor (not Whiting) had yet to caulk the outside."
