"Our barely 4 year old carpet was quickly developing wrinkles and rolled sections so we looked at several companies on Homeadvisor and decided on Kashan. They were the best price and seemed ready to get this done quickly for us. Because our basement isn't very wide or large (although it's not small either) one guy used the knee kicker and went around the entire perimeter stretching section by section. I did supply them our in-house vacuum so they could clean as they went which was fine. I wouldn't have allowed that if it was going to be A LOT of cut carpet as I didn't want my cleaner clogged or canister overfilled. But it was fine. I actually cleared out the entire basement and put the single large sectional on carpet pads for easy sliding which they appreciated. But I had to do that when the carpet was installed too and it saves you a lot of cash doing some of any job yourself. Friendly, courteous and professional and I would definitely hire them again for other things like carpet cleaning or installs of non carpet flooring too."

"Our downstairs carpet had some serious dirt, so I had Harrison, who was very polite and hard-working, tackle the job. It was a large room, and several sets of stairs. It took over two days to dry, which I had anticipated, especially where he went over stained areas from footwear quite a few times. But the carpet looks so much better. It's a very light carpet that shows dirt easily, so he even told me that not everything would come out all the way. Given how bad the situation was, I was fairly pleased with the outcome. My lesson to self is have the carpets cleaned every year, not every 3. He also offered to clean an old couch, but we are going to donate it soon. All in all a good experience. Do expect to have to wait to have things dry for several days if the area is really stained, as he will go over the stains with more water and detergent. Also, we didn't have fans to expedite drying. That would be one good thing to know in the future. Floor fans really help.

He was a little late to the appointment but explained that there had been an accident on Connecticut Avenue. As I was home all day, it was not a big deal to me. 

He put the furniture up on Styrofoam sliders so that the wood would not contact the damp carpet. A nice plus. It's best to have as little furniture in the rooms as possible, but we were able to move some antiques that I was concerned about."
