"Charlie Ayoub was my salesman. He is a straightforward person, easy to work with, and knows carpet. The selection, ordering and scheduling went well. The surprise came when we realized that two closets in the room to be carpeted were build after (on top of) the original carpet was installed. With a LOT of effort the installation team was able to work the new carpet under the closet walls. They went above and beyond what would usually be expected of them. The carpet looks and feels great."

"Sebastian (the owner) came to our home with multiple sample options for different types of carpet. He was personable and knowledgeable about the type of carpet that would work best for a room heavily trafficked by a dog and small child. We eventually selected a carpet that was not part of his samples that we saw at another company but he was able to order that carpet and install it at a much better price. His team was very quick, did a great job on the installation, and left our room a whole lot cozier and brighter. Will definitely contact him for future carpeting needs."

"Rich was a true professional from the walk through and estimate to performing the carpet cleaning. He explained the process and is very reasonably priced. He cleaned the carpet of a 3 story townhome. The carpet had not been cleaned for many years. The carpet looks like new after the cleaning. It took approximately 4 hours to complete the job. I would highly recommend Rich for all your carpet needs. He also referred me to a contractor that was able to fix a roll in the carpet prior to cleaning."

"I got a few quotes and they were not the most expensive and not the cheapest. They were however the most responsive. They then showed up on time and did a great and timely job steam cleaning the carpet. They asked if I wanted to deodorize for an extra $20. He was v honest - said he didn't necessarily see a need because there was no smell but mentioned the benefits. I opted to go with it largely because we had a sick cat who had a few accidents, and while there was no smell, would be a good add'l step to get rid of any remaining bacteria. In general, great job, I'd hire them again due to customer service, responsiveness, punctuality, reasonable price."

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

There are a couple of color options to consider when installing carpet in high-traffic areas (like entrances and stairways). Medium-toned colors and patterned carpets can work well in these parts of your home because dirt and stains can blend in easily. Dark carpets will also conceal marks and spills, but they show lint and other light-colored debris. Consider a medium brown or tan for your high-traffic areas. Either way, it’s best to avoid paler shades, like white and cream, which get dirty easily.

If you have a dark carpet and are going for a lighter look, you should replace it, rather than dyeing, since you can only go darker with dye. If your stains are too heavy to mask with carpet dye or the carpet is more than 10 years old, you should also consider replacing it.

Installing carpet tile takes a pro a few hours per room, while experienced DIYers may take a little longer. However, that does not factor in the time needed to remove the old carpet. Also, if there are issues with the subfloor, fixing it will add to the overall time it takes to complete the installation.

Yes, carpet tiles are easy to install—even if you don’t have much DIY experience. In fact, the simple installation process is one of the main reasons that people choose carpet tiles over traditional carpet. Since carpet tiles come in individual squares, they aren’t as heavy or awkward to install as regular carpet. Plus, you don’t need specialized equipment (like knee kickers or carpet stretchers) when installing carpet tiles.

If the installer is unwilling to fix the problems and you’re not interested in seeking remediation, you could hide a visually unpleasant floor. This will only work if the floor is structurally sound and the only issue you have is the way it looks. The easiest way to do this is to use large area rugs. You can also paint the floor, although that’s a labor-intensive job if you want to go the DIY route.
