I was replacing the wall to wall carpeting in two floors of my house with waterproof hardwood. I did the project in two phases where the furniture for each floor was moved into an on-site storage unit for the duration of the installation. I found Mistival from their outstanding online reviews and because I needed to work with a contractor who would allow me to supply my own flooring, since the brand of flooring I was using is not commonly available in my area and I was purchasing it from a supplier in another state. Harvey from Mistival came out right away to talk about my plan for doing the installation in two phases and to take measurements so I could order the correct amount of flooring for each phase and also for my kitchen, which I plan to do later. He gave me a very reasonable estimate for the installation and outlined everything that would be needed so I could order my flooring and know what to expect for the installation. My driveway slopes downhill and the flooring was going to be delivered on a pallet at the curb, so Harvey had his crew come over to move it into the garage when it arrived. They also came over to move the flooring for each phase of the installation into my house after the furniture was moved out. This was a complicated schedule, and Harvey came through for me each time. The actual installations went very well, the installation crews were outstanding and the finishing touches like the shoe molding and transition pieces all came out beautifully. I’m planning to use Mistival for my kitchen and hallway when it’s time to do that project, as I couldn’t be happier with Mistival and their wonderful work!

Harvey and his team are amazing. They do beautiful work, complete projects efficiently, and charge fair and transparent prices. We’ve hired them twice, recommended them to friends, and plan to hire them again for our upstairs bathroom remodel.

Mistival completely remodeled 2 bathrooms in our home including plumbing, electrical, tile, shower and bathtub installation. Harvey and his team were outstanding throughout the entire process including planning the jobs, installation and ensuring we were satisfied with the results. The Mistival crew worked diligently over a period of about 2 months, and the attention to detail was superb. Harvey was a hands-on manager and frequently checked on the jobs to ensure all was going well. We are extremely pleased with the results and would not hesitate to hire Mistival again.

I hired Harvey to install a kitchen backsplash for my parents. He was able to provide an estimate just by looking at pictures of the space and tile. His estimate was very reasonable and fit in with what I expected to pay. The tile looks great and my parents are very happy.

Mistival did an excellent job. The large hole in the bathroom wall they retiled blends seamlessly with the rest of the wall and the job they did on the fireplace hearth, which involved some difficult-to-work with handmade tile, is beautiful. Their price was extremely reasonable. I cannot recommend this company enough.

This was not a small, quick or easy project to begin with.
It took about 1 month to finish the job but there were a few days of delays due to finding the right parts/pieces.

• The crew was punctual and performed work with attention to detail. Glass tiles are a pain to cut and install and we did compromise on the installation of glass tiles. Overall, we are happy with the end results.
• They cleaned up really well after themselves daily. 
• Although, we were fine with leaving the furniture and floors covered and protected.
• We bought all the 'outer' materials ourselves but we could have minimized a few runs to the store to get matching grouts, caulking, metal-edging etc. if we had a checklist of minor things we needed to have ready.
• I didn't select them because they were the cheapest to redo 3.5 baths to begin with 
• I just wish to have discussed common problems and solutions with costs before starting work. 
• The crew did provide an assessment when problems were discovered such as past leaks, mold etc. but these are common and one should plan with these extras in mind. 
• At the end, with any large project, there will be somethings that will go wrong that no amount of planning will prevent. Mistival proved to be the crew that can think on their feet and jump to achieve the best solution.

I would recommend them to anyone.

Harvey gave us a fair estimate as welll as a great explanation of what needed to be done.  His team of guys were very respectful, neat and hard working.  They not only repaired places where we had problem leaks, but they also took care in making sure the end result looked good - my showers actually look better now than when the original tile company installed them 7 years ago!  I would highly recommend Mistival for any and all tile work and plan to use them in the future.

They were very accomodating as i had trouble with my tile provider and had to reschedule the installation several times. They did a very good job with the installation. Cleaned up every day and were careful to keep my carpet clean where they walked. Because of the holidays they even came by on a Sunday to finish. Definitely will recommend these guys!

Harvey and his crew were so great. We reached out to them on Monday and they were here by Wednesday the same week to do the job. It was done in two days and the crew was so nice and professional. They did a fantastic job and actually suggested a better and cheaper installation method for the type of wood than what we originally contacted them for. I appreciated that they actually saved us money instead of going with a more expensive installation. The floor turned out beautifully. They were on time both mornings and they were very courteous and hard workers the whole time they were in my house. I enjoyed their service and I would definitely recommend them for future jobs.

From my initial contact with Harvey and the rest of the crew, everyone were nice, courteous, professional, and extremely hard-working. Existing ranch house with new addition needed to have old floors torn up and new flooring installed. Harvey's team were expert at handling the transition between old house and new, as well as working to eliminate squeaks during the install. Concurrently, Douglas got to work on the tiling. He did an outstanding job, from the laser sighting system to the leveling system, and the results are amazing. Both jobs took place and were largely completed within one week, as promised. Part of the flooring install included having us live in the space for a couple of weeks and identifying squeaks or pops, or identifying any other places that needed attention. They came back on a Saturday, remedied the places we'd identified and polished the floor up so it was shining when they left. They were also very creative with some trim pieces that weren't the ordinary shoe molding (which they also stained and polyurethanes at our residence). We couldn't be more pleased with the end results, and we highly recommend Mistival Family; it was a pleasure doing business with them!
