"We are so happy with the work Lazaro, Carlos & their team did on our backyard patio! They were so professional, they listened to and delivered on everything we asked of them and we are absolutely thrilled with the results. Our patio and stairs look amazing, we can’t wait to finally host our family & friends in our backyard. We definitely plan on hiring them for future projects!"
"This company is awesome. They did a beautiful job, edged for me and cleaned up and removed all debris. They even took out a dead bush so the front of the house looks amazing! I will definitely call them again."
"They did a great job repair my patio. Showed up for estimate on time, good communications about the project scheduling, and provided good quality of work. Project went smoothly."
"We've now worked with Diversified Contractors twice and have enjoyed the experience both times. In terms of pricing, quality of work, and ease to work with and modify a design during a build, you can't go wrong. We worked with Mike, and have recommended him to our family and neighbors and all have the same experience. We can be picky and demanding of any project for this kind of spend, and we solicited multiple bids each time (2 years apart), and DC was still the best. My neighbors are already asking who we used and the compliments flood everytime we have a gathering on the patio. No brainer. Go with DC."
"Talk about a wonderful job! This company built 2 sitting walls in on my patio! They are perfect! Such a great company. Will definitely hire again and again!!! Thank you Thank you!"
"Dave of HL Design was very professional and a true EXPERT in his field. His quote was the best in terms of cost out of 7 quotes that I received. He quoted and used Nicolock oceanic blue PREMIUM pavers, cobble stone edges, full-nose raven coping, 2-8ft sitting stone wall with 4 LED lights and a transformer. He installed a River Stones in the existing planting bed. The quality of work was great and the patio turned out beautifully! His workers cleaned after themselves each time. I absolutely love my patio and the flower bed. Dave and his crew did a GREAT job. I highly recommend them!!!"
"We requested quotes from 5 other companies before meeting Jaime and in this case, the best was saved for last. He was very accommodating with our work schedules and with meeting us at a time that worked for us. He was the only one that automatically took out a piece of paper and provided us with a general sketch of what he would envision for our yard (which went beyond our plan of just installing a patio but it was great to see his vision of what it could be over the years). He was also able to work within our price point and accommodated many questions and requests we had. The work was done quickly and beautifully and are so pleased with the final project. We look forward to working with Jaime on future landscaping plans!"
"We had a flagstone patio done by First Impression and are very happy with the quality of their work and their professionalism. The person we worked with mainly, Dustin, was extremely helpful. He explained the pros and cons of different materials and drew up a design for the patio based on our conversation about what I wanted. Dustin was also very responsive by email when we had questions. Our work was scheduled for 6-8 weeks after we had confirmed we wanted to contract with First Impressions since they had several jobs booked before us, but once they started, they completed it in 3 days as promised. The workmanship is truly excellent, we're very happy with the final product. A couple of the stones had tool marks on them and when I mentioned it they had someone come out a couple days later to replace the defective stones. One of the stones that they replaced was not quite flush and they fixed that too. They also put in some steppers leading to our fence and a concrete pad for a shed, both of which turned out perfectly. We ended up paying exactly the estimate and were very happy that there weren't any hidden costs. Overall, we had a very good experience and I highly recommend them. "
"We are thrilled with the work DeckMaster did at our home. They arrived as scheduled, and compelted the work as discussed. They were very neat and professional. The deck and porch look amazing. We would recomend them."
Creating a screen room is one of the most cost-effective ways to enclose a patio so you can still use it in the winter. Most screen rooms aren’t insulated, so you’ll need to wrap up warm or use patio heaters in winter. Also, be aware they might not hold up well if you live in a location where heavy snow is common.
Yes, you can build a sunroom addition to your home despite living in a cold climate. Make sure to use high-quality insulation and windows and to supplement with sufficient heating from your HVAC system. The windows in the sunroom allow enough natural light into the room to help heat it most times without having to use the furnace. Even a small electric fireplace can heat the sunroom well enough.
A prefab sunroom will last for between 10 and 20 years in most cases, although you could get up to 50 years out of a high-quality prefab sunroom. In addition to material quality, your prefab sunroom’s lifespan will depend on the foundation type and the climate in your area. Extreme weather and expansive soil can decrease the expected life.
Sustainable materials and energy-efficient designs support greener construction options.
A sunroom may count toward your home's total square footage or living space if it meets certain conditions, which can vary by local regulations. Generally, for a sunroom to be included, it must be fully enclosed, properly insulated, and equipped with electrical access and a heating and cooling (HVAC) system, similar to a four-season room. It should also meet the same construction standards as the rest of the house. Three-season sunrooms that function more like enclosed porches typically do not count toward the total square footage and are considered exterior living space.
