"From start to finish, Eugene and his crew were excellent to work with. Our free estimate was much more concise than the "ballpark estimate" thrown out by other companies. While you should always budget for surprises during construction, our estimate was itemized in detail, and showed what upgrades were available and their pricing. The total price was the best of all of our estimates. They worked efficiently, were always friendly, and cleaned up each night before they left. Eugene stopped by frequently to ensure everything was on track and accommodated my suggestions for minor tweaks throughout the process. "This company is not who they say they are. The person named Carlito , it’s not his real name. He does not hold a contractor license or salesman license in Maryland. This company is run under his sister, through you will never see or know she exists. His real name is Brian G Mitchell, make sure you case search and find out the truth. I been dealing with him for years to get my addition finished and he has done nothing but take money and make excuses why he can’t work. Man has more personal issues, walked off the job without communication for 4 months. Lied to me and said framing passed inspections, they never did. If you even consider using this company, think again."

"Thomas M was an excellent technician and did great work fixing all the basement windows around the house. These windows are difficult to find a replacement but he was able to repair and repaint them. The other technician was Pablo He worked on caulking all the windows around the house and he did some filling work on the garage sliding doors You did a good job, but Pablo left his trash around and didn’t pick up after himself so Thomas M and I did that on the third day. It took three days total, but it was two men for two days and one man for a 3/4 of a day actually. Although I’ll probably get charged for a full day, since it went past noon. The labor portion is the most expensive and a little higher than I initially anticipated. So, I was hoping for a quicker turnaround, but overall quality work was completed. I would highly recommend Thomas M as a technician to do future work. He’s very knowledgeable, friendly and does a great job. I would hire again but include more details in the contract language."

The quality of the final work is excellent, and the construction crew, architect, and county inspector were all great to work with. The original crew we worked with, led by Edwin, were so hardworking, friendly, thorough, and fast. That's what really pushed us from 2 to 3 stars. However, the process getting here was frustrating and unnecessarily chaotic. Timeline & Communication Issues: Initial promise: We were clear that the renovation had to allow us to live in our home during construction and be completed before Christmas. Early communication: Our original project manager, Cris, was personable, and early communication seemed fine, if a bit informal and sometimes inappropriately personal. Major miscommunication: Near the holidays, we discovered that the plans submitted included cutting into the roof — something we explicitly said we didn’t want. This contradicted verbal assurances and caused major last-minute changes. Project Management Failures: Poor planning and oversight: Cris and the architect’s plan didn’t align with the construction work. We had to get involved directly with the county to fix errors. Paperwork errors: Incorrect submissions to the county added delays and confusion, which we had to monitor ourselves. Last-minute scramble: We were cleaning up dust on Christmas Eve due to these planning failures. Personnel Turnover & Lack of Handoff: Cris leaves the company: No proper handover to James, the new PM, who was unfamiliar with our project. Crew replaced: The original crew, who were great, were gone; new crew had no context or direction. James leaves: Another handoff with no context — the third PM had no idea about our project or its outstanding items. Escalation mishandled: When we raised our concerns with Kyle, the CEO, the response felt dismissive, with no accountability for the previous missteps. In summary, it's a beautiful end result... but we’re glad it’s over. The process left us frustrated, confused, and frankly, exhausted."

Ben and Teddy from Top Remodeling sat with us and came up with a better layout without changing the size of the home. They moved the hallway, opened the living area, and added a custom touch in almost every room. They rebuilt the inside from the studs and used solid-core doors and clean finishes. We went with soft white walls, bronze handles, and natural maple cabinets. Now, it all feels open and calm. Every room has a purpose."
