"I very much recommend this contractor! Answers fast, gives extremely fair prices, gives fast appointments AND the show up on time! They are very polite and nice. They also clean up the station after they’re done! I find them reliable, quality work and fairly priced. They also work as long as they need to. For our house they: Fixed the window frames outside because the mortar was broken or eroded and when it stormed outside, it rained inside our house. They changed rotten wood, painted it, cemented places in the brick wall that needed it, put mortar/caulk and sealed 4 windows from the outside. The other project was putting bifold closet doors which included cutting them to size, installing the hardware, and painting them. This was the first time I’ve had to hire someone to fix things around the house that I couldn’t, and I was really nervous. I’m grateful I found Chapin Handyman LLC through Angie’s list! Oh! And they are insured and bonded, too!"

"Mr. Heard and his team (Douglas, Omar and Uncle Merc) are very professional yet friendly and so easy to work with. I hired them initially to replace a tub and shower I have hated for the last 5 years; however, after the initial consultation I decide to do the entire bathroom due to the pricing for the project. I ended up having a completely new tub, shower, tiles, vanity, medicine cabinet, flooring, towel rack and cabinet installed. I couldn't be any happier or satisfied. Mr. Heard explain the entire process to you in the beginning, he was so patient to answer all of my questions throughout the project. I was referred to Mr. Heard by my mother who has used them for years. I was so confident in their ability and their service that I moved in with my parents for the seven days it took to complete the project. Gave them a key to my home and relaxed while they gave me the bathroom of my dreams. I never worried about anything being stolen or anything like that. One of the best things about Mr. Heard is that he's a Christian and he believes in being honest."

"Smithwright has contacted me and will be calling me on Monday, May 27 to let me know when he might be able to start. We have gone back and forth via email so that he understand what is needed. As stated, he called Monday and asked if I was available the next day at 9am to have the maintenance performed which was perfect. He called Tuesday morning before 9 to inform me he was running a bit late and would be there between 9:30 and 10. He arrived as promised. We discussed the maintenance to be perfomed including what I was interested in and he evaluated the door and issues and recommended the weatherstripping but stated the sweep was still in decent shape, so I agreed to only the weather stripping. He went to the local Lowes to pick up the necessary materials and returned in reasonable time and began. It took a little over an hour. I reviewed the work and it appeared to be a good job. Bill asked if I had considered a storm door which I stated I had recently. He stated he usually charges for a minimum of two hours but gave me a discount which was appreciated. The entire job cost $193 (including materials). Considering the cost, job quality, and customer service; I would definitely hire Smithwright again for any handyman type work."

"The employee was great. Here on time, worked without delay. Of course he had lunch but only Long enough to eat a sandwich. And to top off everything it didn’t take as long to install then what was in the estimate. So our install didn’t cost as much as estimated. Great for us!!! "Julio and his team did a wonderful "handyman"-type job for me. I highly recommend him and his company. Details: I recently purchased two specialized, folding fire-escape ladder systems from a company in New Jersey. But I needed someone local to install the devices on my house. They look like big downspouts, but when a user pulls a pin at the top, they fold out to sideways ladders that allow people to escape from upstairs windows. Julio came out to my home to watch the installation video that the fire-escape company had on their website, and then said "no problem" to install the ladders. He returned a couple of days later with a two-man crew, and they installed both ladders in about 5 hours. No muss, no fuss. He charged me $550, which I found fairly reasonable for a three-person crew for that amount of time--particularly since it was kind of an unusual installation job. During the job, Julio was faced with two or three minor complications, which he handled without any problems. I think that speaks well of his expertise as a handyman. Julio and his crew were exactly what I was looking for this kind of job."
