"Bob inspected the window frames and provided a few solutions I hadn’t considered. Same for interior doors no longer hanging properly. Although I typically prefer paying by the job instead of by the hour, Bob was quite focused on his work and use of time. I will be asking him to return in the spring to complete a few additional repairs and install a storm door."

"Working with Michael and his team on our front door and front porch replacement was a pleasure. I explained my vision, he made a few suggestions and the end result is perfect. You can trust Michael to provide excellent contractors and customer service. I would hire them again and recommend them to anyone."

"Replaced wood trim on a second story arched window with vinyl. Reasonably priced, work done when promised and looks better than original trim, plus no more maintenance!"

"Very quick response to inquiry. Came out to review the broken window and provide a quote next day, and came back to replace glass within about five days. Jake did a good job, and he's a nice/personable guy. Would highly recommend for any glass jobs."

"We contacted the company for an estimate. They were able to schedule one for a week after the phone call. Tony came out and measured all the windows, showed me a sample of the storm windows, and wrote out the quote on the spot. Once we decided to go with Precision, we called and ordered our windows.
We were told it would take about 2 weeks to manufacture the windows and then they can be installed at any time. It actually took about 3 weeks for the phone call letting us know the windows were ready but that didn't effect anything on our end, so no big deal. We tried to schedule the install for on a few occasions, but each time the weather won out and because of rain the installation had to be delayed.
Finally, 1 1/2 months after our initial call to the company, we were able to book a clear day to have the work done. We did not need to be home, which was very convenient, so I arrived home to very beautiful new storm windows on the outside of the house! All of the windows are very high quality and compliment the outside of the house nicely.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience with a great, family owned company!"

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

To tell if a window is single or double-pane, focus on the edge. Double-pane windows have two glass layers separated by a spacer, which you can usually see around the edges. For single-pane windows, it’s just one sheet of glass. Another easy trick: shine a light at the window—single-pane glass reflects once, while double-pane glass reflects twice. Lastly, if you feel both sides of the glass on a cold day, double-paned windows will feel warmer because of the insulating gap between the panes.

While finding your mirror cracked can be spooky, there are actually many logical and common reasons why this happens. First, the mirror may have been mounted unevenly in the first place. Over time, poor mounting leads to stress points that will eventually cause a mirror to crack. Other common causes of a mirror spontaneously cracking include dramatic temperature shifts, strong thunder or a loud crash somewhere in the distance, exposure to heat and sunlight, and an uneven wall in your home. It's also possible that your mirror had a manufacturing defect or microscopic cracks that occurred during glass cutting or handling that eventually caused it to shatter.

The cost of adding glass to your kitchen cabinet doors depends on the number of cabinets, type of glass, and labor costs. Glass typically costs between $5 to $20 per sheet and you can expect to purchase complementary hardware materials for $2 to $50 each. If you’re hiring a cabinet professional to install glass in your cabinet doors, ask them for a specific estimate before hiring.

Replacing a glass pane is much less expensive than replacing your entire window. The average person will pay between $180 and $400 to replace a glass window pane. This price can vary based on a ton of factors, including labor costs in your area, special window treatments, and the number of panes on your window.

Glass walls are more expensive overall than their brick or drywall counterparts. However, if you need walls for a building with more than two or three stories, glass walls are the more budget-friendly option.
