"I have been using Druziako HVAC since I bought my house in 1997. They are excellent to work with consistently provide the highest level of service. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of HVAC services."
"Guy was hands down the best HVAC person we have ever had help us in Boston. Totally transparent, professional, easy to work with. If you need help, I would recommend asking for Guy to come out if possible."
"Peter and Mark were very professional. I needed to replace the HVAC dampers and the communication with Peter was excellent and we had all questions answered ahead of time so we didnt have any last minute surprises.
They showed up on time and installed the dampers and the HVAC control panel. Very thorough and clean with their work.
I've already recommended them to my neighbors."
"Excellent. I've had Genove install both gas and oil heating systems in my properties, most recently oil. They have also installed central air/hydro air and handle my oil delivery. The techs have always been polite & knowledgable. Their customer service is impeccable. As a landlord/home owner, I couldn't be happier with them handling all my HVAC needs and would recommend them to anyone."
"Joe explained various options (models, efficiency rating, attic vs. cellar installation, etc.) thoroughly, promptly followed through on my follow-up questions, and prepared a detailed & accurate quote. He measured the size of the house and cold-air returns to ensure the system was sized properly. He is a patient guy & very pleasant to work with. Scheduling the installation was painless, the installers (Steve and his assistant Derek) started on time, and worked diligently & efficiently. Everyone is very experienced and knowledgeable, and all clearly take pride in their work. They kept in excellent communication with me throughout the installation. They were respectful of my home, my concerns, my pets, etc. They stand by what they sell, too. This winter, about 18 months after it was installed, my tankless hot water heater had a factory defect that caused it to shut off. Steve came the day I reported the problem, was on the phone with the manufacturer for hours to diagnose the issue, and came back twice more to finish the repair (3 visits might sound absurd, but it wasn't Airco's problem, it was the manufacturer's, as they were misdiagnosing the issue). The unit is now working perfectly thanks to Steve's persistence. A bonus: Airco charged me for only a small portion of Steve's time from his initial visit. They ate the cost of his additional visits! These guys are golden. "
"I called the company on Sunday evening and they responded promptly early in the morning. My system was installed by them 3 years ago but somehow I missed last year's annual servicing. With the current heat wave it was severely underperforming. They sent out Robert Duclos within the hour. He diagnosed the problem---not enough Freon in the system, grass and mulch build-up in the compressor, valves buried under the landscaping--and fixed it all for the price of the annual service contract. I would definitely recommend them for anyone needing central a/c work."
"Our daughter and her husband are living out of the country, temporarily. When their leasees said the furnace was blowing cold air, we wanted the repair done quickly and at a good price. Unique Indoor Comfort Heating & Cooling responded right away and came to the property the same day we called. Very professional!"
"Ken's HVAC was immediately responsive to my call and came the next day. When we noticed an additional heating issue I called on Sunday and Ken picked up and scheduled to come out on Monday. He did, and we now have heat. Ken was thorough, professional, and explained everything he was doing. I felt very confident in his work."
"The appointment was made within 2 days of contacting them. The technician (Brian) was punctual for a 7:30 am appointment. Once there, Brian did a fantastic job of communicating the services that he was performing and kept me very informed about the status of the AC system. He found some issues that had been previously overlooked by former HVAC technicians and provided me with a very detailed understanding of what the outlook for my unit should be in the future. I noticed an immediate improvement in the cooling of the house as well as the air quality. I can't thank this company and this technician enough for being so professional in the way they conduct their business. I would recommend them to anyone in need of HVAC service."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts
No, not all HVAC systems have a fresh air intake, but there are many advantages to having one. For example, a fresh air intake can boost the air quality inside your home and help your furnace run more effectively. Plus, it can make your house more energy efficient, possibly saving you money on your utility costs.
No, heat pump maintenance needs are very similar to air conditioners, including keeping outdoor units clean, changing filters regularly, and occasionally scheduling a refrigerant check to see if any has leaked out. Heat pumps typically switch automatically between heating and cooling, so you don’t need to worry about manually changing them every season. However, since they are always on call, they can develop wear and tear faster than an air conditioner.
Aside from needing HVAC repair, there are times when you may need to replace your unit. HVAC replacement costs$5,000 to $12,500. Here are some telltale signs that your HVAC unit is going bad:
Your unit is 10 years or older.
Your home is very humid.
The unit keeps cycling without producing cool air.
You need to repair the unit frequently.
The cost to add Freon to an AC ranges from $100 to $350. It can increase up to $600 for large AC units requiring much more coolant. The cost also depends on how much refrigerant your unit needs. If only a small amount of Freon leaked out, your cost would be on the lower side. A complete replacement of all the required refrigerant can get expensive.
Most AC repair technicians will take between two and six hours to carry out repairs, depending on the work needed and the accessibility of the unit. For example, recharging refrigerant lines should take one to two hours to service, while replacing a compressor, blower fan, or other major components can take five to eight hours. You can ask your AC repair technician how long they expect the job to take, but just in case, you should plan on being home and available for most of the day.
