"Diagnosis and repair were straightforward and the talented Mike, who has done other great work for us on our ACs, had a replacement pump in his truck. Swapped over in under an hour. Cost of the repair was quite high, mainly due to very high price they charged for the pump. A Taco pump that I could buy for $175 was priced on this repair at more than $500. I get that it was an urgent situation and I’m happy to pay reasonably for the response but that mark-up bothered me. I called the office, had a long talk with the owner; sadly, she offered no consideration at all. Yes, it’s hard to find and keep skilled techs, but now seems that most HVAC firms have a business model like a car dealer’s service dept, far more corporate, less flexible or customer-considerate."

"I highly recommend J. Griffin Heating and Plumbing for any install, repair or maintenance needs you may have. Jeff, the company owner, and his team recently replaced my very old home heating system with a high-efficiency boiler. I placed a request through Home Advisor and received a call back from Jeff the very next morning. Jeff was at the house that evening and spent an hour or more with me explaining my options in detail and answering all of my questions. I inherently knew, from that meeting, that I was dealing with an honest guy. He spoke with pride about his family and that his wife and boys are key to the success of the business. I expressed to Jeff that I was concerned about the safety of my current furnace and wanted to get it done as soon as possible. They made room in their busy schedule and were at my home, ready to go, within a few days. They were clean, neat and caused very little disturbance to me and my family during the install. Jeff and the guys were friendly, polite and conscientious. When the job was done, Jeff took the time to educate us on how the the system works and what to look for. "The Technicians arrived on time (within scheduled window). We received a call informing us they were on their way. The technicians were very professional, took care not to track dirt into the house, explained what was done during the visit and the preventative issues they resolved during the visit. The cost of service is for the annual contract which includes two visits - one in the Spring and one in the Fall. $280 for PM service, $155 for HVAC Filter & UV Lamp replacement and $40 for Humidifier replacement pad. The next visit will require a charge for the HVAC Filter again (if we do not buy on our own)."

"My central AC unit has been broken for several years. intermittently working during hot summers. I've had several HVAC companies come to diagnose and all of them told me different things: replace the whole system, new lines, etc. potentially costing tens of thousands of dollars. So I decided to troubleshoot by myself and pinpointed the issue: the filter dryer needed to be replaced. No company wanted to do this small job. I called Emerald HVAC and told them about my issue, they sent in José, who diagnosed the issue to be what I said. He replaced the filter dryer and the AC unit works perfectly now after several years! In short, Emerald HVAC will be my first choice for any HVAC work in the future. They are honest, professional, and reasonably priced. I recommend them without reservation!"

"Chris was fantastic! Our usual HVAC company couldn't come out until over 48 hours later, and it was in the 90's out - the house was getting hot! Chris was recommended on a local FB page and he was able to come that day. He was professional and answered all our questions in terms we could understand. We hadn't had out unit cleaned in the 4 years we've lived in our home. Chris offered to come out and give it a good cleaning the following week for a very reasonable price. When he was finished, the unit was quieter and it honestly seems more efficient. Chris will be our new "regular" HVAC person! I will recommend Chris to my friends and family needing HVAC service."
