His price was thousands less than the competitors (others charged $250 just to come out and estimate) Duran was professional, honest, clean, hardworking and affordable. "They inspected the chimney from up on the roof, something that the chimney sweeps that had been cleaning the chimney since 2016, when we first moved in, had never done. They took pics and showed us how the lining of the chimney was collapsing and it had been in this state for a long time. So in addition to cleaning the chimney, they also replaced the lining inside it. It was an expense I didn't expect, but we use the fireplace a lot and it needed to be done."

"All aspects of the job went as well as it possibly could. The carpenter patched the roof so one couldn’t even tell a chimney had ever been there. The large metal chimney was removed without incident. The gas fireplace insert needed to be cut out so as to preserve the brick encasing the fireplace and the wood mantel. Jim then expertly installed the electric fireplace, doing a beautiful job both solidly securing the new fireplace and making sure the presentation of the fireplace was perfect! It was a pleasure to see someone take meticulous care throughout the entire job, which included thoroughly cleaning up afterwards."
