hired Chimney and Duct Experts based on their reviews on Google and Angis list to address a potential problem with a roof leak near my chimney. They quickly determined the flashing of my chimney was probably the reason for the leak, so they gave me a quote to rebuild the chimney flashing for $1300. They were able to do the work that same day, which I thought was great. However, the leak continued, so I moved on to roofers to help figure out the problem. I had 5 different roofing and repair companies come out, and each one said that the flashing on the chimney was terribly done, using a sealant instead of metal step flashing as is standard. I called back Chimney and Duct Experts and spoke with a supervisor. He agreed to come and redo the flashing, but insisted that fully rebuilding the flashing is only done when you get a new roof. Ended up being incorrectly done again, and I'll have to pay someone now to fix it correctly.

Steve from Chimney and Duct Experts came on site did a very thorough inspection/quote for free. He took phones with drone and explained what needs to be done. Steve came back in a week, cleaned, installed a new liner, top plate, tee and cap. Also applied moisture blocker. After the project is done, I no longer smell the leaky exhuast from the furnace coming out of the wood stove. I'm very satisfied with the project.
