The BBB rating for Shamrock is "F" which is their lowest rating; businesses with "F" ratings have unanswered or unresolved complaints that reflects a failure by the business (Shamrock) to deal with the causes of customer problems. I contacted the MA District Attorney's office who put me in touch with consumer advocate Deb Henderson to resolve my issue with Shamrock. She said that she spoke to the owner Carmelo Franco about my issue and said that Franco is uncooperative, therefore we are unable to proceed. I sued Carmelo Franco in Attleboro District Court for negligent work that had to be fixed by another company ($650.00), however the subpoena could not be delivered to the address the DA's office gave me, so the court dropped the lawsuit. You need the correct address of the defendant in order for the court to compel him to come to court, so Carmelo Franco is just a ghost that you will never be reimbursed by. Unprofessional staff, the workmanship was sloppy and undefined. They took the payment and have not returned, calls or email. Cancelled three times ti come back and fix it. Do Not Hire This Company!!!!

On 10.23.23 I hired Shamrock Chimney, address, 3 Mountain St. E, Worcester, MA, 01606, telephone: 508.433.0609, to clean my chimney; upon inspection of the chimney, I was told that the cement crown was damaged and needed replacement, as well as resetting loose bricks at the top of the chimney. The total cost for this work was $1,500.00. This work came with a Lifetime warranty on the 2 steel rain caps, and a 5-year warranty on the masonry. On Feb. 10, 2024, I called Shamrock Chimney and told them that the caps were moving out of place on top of the chimney, tilting as they might be ready to fall off. I told Shamrock's representative that I was fearful that the caps could fall down damaging my roof and cars, or injuring someone walking into my house on the walkway below. Shamrock told me that someone would be out to ensure that the caps were properly secured - however no one from Shamrock came out. After nearly 2 months with no response from Shamrock, on April 4, 2024, I called Shamrock

Shamrock came out, inspected, cleaned, and gave advice on correcting a problem. Than corrected the problem. We were treated in a friendly and professional manner. You can’t ask for better than that.

Had my fireplace cleaned on Sept 5. Went to light it on Sept 6, damper was closed and would not open, house filled with smoke. Called to complain, was told that someone could come out 6 days later. I hired another company to come. They came right away, damper was stuck with all debris from chimney. So you tell me if the original people did there job. I don't think so. When I called to speak to the owner, I was told that I couldn't. This was by their arrogant service dept.

The crew did a satisfactory job, but the price is questionable.

Amazing customer service. Very responsive. They had my two chimneys re-pointed, capped and sealed in about 5hrs. My chimneys were in terrible shape, lots of loose bricks, leaks etc. The transformation was incredibly. They also included a 10 yr warranty on all their work. Super satisfied. My neighbor was also amazed by the work and will be reaching out them. Highly recommend.

Joe was awesome! We called for 2 fluews to be cleaned and inspected, came with in 2 days! He recommended a chimney cap as the other flew had one so we had him install it. Great service, gave us some pictures before and after, it was fast and friendly service! Definitely will recommend! Price was very reasonable as well! Joe needs a raise for sure! Hard to find great help, Glad we got him! Thank you!

Shamrock should call themselves Scamrock, they are the worst, they were supposed to fix a leak coming down my chimney, gave me a quote for $900 to fix plus a lifetime warranty and the water still comes down the chimney, every time I call they claim they are backed up but they were not backed up when they gave me an appointment almost right away. Stay away from these ppl they are crooks and do not call back despite saying they will. Worst company to hire. Stay away. You have been warned

They were quick to come, they had a good price, but I have damages to my attic over the cost of the work and they will not admit their error or negligence. I have given them any opportunity to resolve it but the contractor is not being responsive.

They were not truthful, they did not do a good job and the leak is worse than what it was at the beginning so they did not fix anything.

The experience with shamrock was great. Came and checked my chimney, explained to me what was wrong and it needed to be pointed and pieces were floating. Gave me a price which was a good price and thay did it right there . Fast, friendly and I would recommend them to other people.

This is a rip-off. This company ought to be delisted from Angie I needed our chimney to be sealed to avoid water coming inside. They charged $1,200 for sealing the brick chimney and redoing the flashing to prevent water to come in. They spent less than 2 hrs on the job. As far as I can tell, they did not apply sealant, the brick still soaks up water yet they claimed they applied 3 coats. If they applied anything, they did not use the high quality product that they wrote up (ChimneySaver which sells for $300+ retail), instead an inferior product that's not vapor permeable as should be for this use (Olympic Waterguard, retails $18). Further, they did not remove debris from the roof nor what slid off the roof to the ground. This is not what I expect from professionals. My belief that I get trustworthy professionals from Angie's is deeply shaken.

Shamrock did just fine. Not sure what the negative reviews are all about. The only reason I gave 4 stars is I had to remind the pro to clean up the chimney and he helped me quickly clean it up. There is some marks in the hardwood floors that need to be deeply cleaned out, but other than that they did good work, timely and pictures of everything. Would hire them again.
