"They were very attentive to all questions I asked. I would highly recommend them. We feel warmer now that the insulation was blown in."

"Insul-Kings is wonderful to work with. They called in the morning to narrow the arrival time, which is very considerate. Nate and his crew arrived on time and CRANKED like a well oiled machine. I have a 4' crawl space. You can barely crouch. No problem! That's why God invented knee pads. They foamed and installed the insulation like it was their own home. It was a work of art. and came out better than I imagined. They patiently indulged my "old man" inquisitiveness. The crew represented Insul-Kings very well. I highly recommend them. This was done through the Mass Save program. So the $2100 job only cost me about $500.00"

"Clean Tech Construction was terrific! The team arrived slightly before the scheduled time, removed the old, poorer quality insulation, installed new insulation, including areas that a previous company had not been able to reach, and cleaned up everything before they left for the day. When I initially contacted them about the work, they answered my phone calls within 15 minutes and continued to respond to any calls/questions quickly and politely. I would hire them again in a heartbeat."

"This company is EXCELLENT and I would give them an A++. Had a great experience from the 1st call I placed. Very knowledgeable and trustworthy. Day of job they had a big crew here that was very well run. Everyone had a job to do and did it! By the time they left, I had a great looking roof and you could not even tell they had been here. This company lives by great customer service. Highly recommend them!!!"

"Installation of insulation went well; EZinsul was very thorough. However, there were some clumps of insulation and a thick film of fiberglass covered everything, despite their sweeping up to â industry standardsâ . Jacob & I talked; he came back and dusted to my satisfaction. I appreciated this attention he paid to my project. I would highly recommend EZinsul. Ruth Ann White"

Insulation questions, answered by experts

When it comes to fiberglass insulation versus foam board, there are a few notable differences, both aesthetically and functionally. Fiberglass insulation is soft and flexible, meaning it can be squeezed into tight spaces more easily than foam board. Fiberglass insulation also has a higher R-value, making it a better pick for colder climates. However, foam board insulation can resist moisture and pest damage much better than fiberglass.

It is possible to insulate your walls without removing drywall, but it’s not a good idea to attempt the work yourself. A professional can use blown-in insulation or spray foam insulation to fill wall voids without opening up the walls, and the option they use typically depends on your climate and whether or not there’s insulation in your wall already that can remain in place. Spray foam insulation costs more and isn’t always a viable option, but it’s a better insulator. Call in an expert to help decide which is right for you.

Depending on the item, several different materials are beneficial for long-term storage. Bubble wrap and plastic wrap help ensure delicate ceramics or furniture are safe and secure. High-quality moving boxes made of durable materials like plastic also help ensure the longevity of your storage, as cardboard will degrade faster over time.

If the outside temperature drops below 20 degrees Fahrenheit, it will take around six hours for your pipes to freeze—and they might even burst. That’s why keeping your mobile home’s temperature around 50 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit is necessary, even if you’re leaving it vacant for the winter. In addition, having ample skirting around the mobile home's underbelly will help keep pipes insulated during the winter.

Opting for insulated ducts can lead to significant long-term savings on your energy bills and contribute to a more efficient HVAC system. The precise amount you can save depends on various factors, including your climate, usage patterns, and the insulation's quality. However, on average, insulated ducts can result in savings of up to 20% on your annual heating and cooling costs, according to ENERGY STAR®.
