"These guys are great.  You will not find a better and reasonably priced out fit around!  I had used them in the past for my water line and had such a good experience for far less than competitors that I had to give them a call.  Mark was very detailed in explaining to me what they were going to do before they did it.  Mark even got me scheduled within three days of calling him!  He pulled all the permits needed as well as having everything marked by the utility companies.  He talked to the city to discover where the main sewer line ran and any other info he needed.  You could tell he was very professional and knew exactly what he was doing. My wife had planted plants and stone edging where the guys were going to be digging.  I expected this to all be destroyed.   Instead I came home to my wifes plants dug up to where they could be reburied, and her landscaping stones neatly stacked in a pile.  It's this kind of customer service that keeps this company great.  English were able to tunnel under the house and reconnect my sewer line, without tearing up the inside like the other company said they'd have to, They installed a brand new cleanout, and pvc up to the sidewalk (roughly 25 to 30 ft).  This company is EXCELLENT."

"I had Everdry install drains in my basement about 2-3 years ago. The initial process took about 3 days to complete, but the workers were very respectful with my personal property since they had to enter my bedroom to get to the basement. Everything was covered in plastic that couldn’t be moved to avoid getting dust everywhere. When they were all done, they made sure to clean up after themselves. The foreman even asked for a broom to clean up some dirt on the floor. I’ve had a couple problems since then, but they are very quick to respond, and everything has been covered under the lifetime warranty."

"Very attentive. They installed drain tile, sump pumps, and vapor barrier in my crawl space. Brought a couple of yards of stone thru my house and into the crawl. Very neat, no mess. They put down tarps thru my house and cleaned up every day. I would highly recommend them"

"Jim Knox was great to work with, responsive and does good work at a reasonable price. Of course, they had to dig up the yard to install run lines from the house to sewer.  The yard was left in good condition.   I did have one minor plumbing issue  that I encoutered a year after the work was complete.  I called Jim on a Saturday (again, a year after the work was performed) to report the problem and he was there the following Monday to fix the problem at no charge.   I would highly recommend Knox to anyone that requires this type of work.

"The installation went well, but afterwards I not getting any water pressure. I was calling the back out complaining, because I thought it was the water heater. The owner Chris came out and was relentless on finding the problem, which was not the water heater, but the water softener. I was not fair in the beginning , giving this company full consideration because, they were a referral and I had not heard of them, but I will not hesitate to use them again for plumbing need. Excellent service."

"Ed and his crew came out to figure out where my problem was with my sewer line. They had to dig up the sewer line to find out why it was backing up. Once they were able to see the pipe we discovered that one of the utility lines had drilled their cable line through my sewer line causing me the problem. Ed called out the correct officials to determine who was responsible so that I would be able to file a claim for his services. We determined that it was in fact connected to ATand T. I'm still waiting to hear from someone at ATand T in the claims department. However, Ed and his crew did a GREAT job in a desperate time of need. They cut out the bad part of the pipe and replaced it with new. It's running like a champ! Ed also did a great job of taking pictures for me to have to be able to show ATand T if tey had any questions.

"Really excellent company to work with. They performed a big project for us last year replacing several feet of our exterior sewer line and installing a new HVAC unit. They had to put the HVAC unit on top of ground that had been previously completely dug up for the sewer line. A year later the HVAC unit had started to sink in on an angle. I messaged them about it and within a couple days they were here and lifted the unit back up and put rock underneath to keep it from sinking again. Really appreciated their quick response and the effort to help with that. It wasn't their fault erosion happened, but they clearly take pride in their work. Much appreciated! Can't recommend this company highly enough."

FAQs for drain pipe installation projects in Plainfield, IN

The regulations around whether drain pipe installers need to hold licenses or certifications differ based on where you live and the type of drain pipe installed. Municipalities have varying rules and regulations about who can and can’t perform plumbing work. However, we recommend hiring a certified plumber to install or modify your drain lines. Licensed plumbers will perform a high-quality, professional installation, which translates to a lower risk of clogs and leaks in the future. Use Angi’s state licensing tool to confirm the license status of your potential plumber before hiring them to install your drain pipe.

The cost to install a drain pipe is $600 on average, but the total can range between $150 and $2,000. Some cost factors that influence your project price include the type of drain, the area’s accessibility, the proximity of existing drain lines, and whether you’re installing a new drain or replacing an old one. Replacing the p-trap or s-trap under a single fixture will usually cost around $150, while replacing a main drain pipe can cost well over $2,000.

Plumbers will typically take one to two hours to install a new drain pipe, but that timeline can vary based on the area’s accessibility, the drain length, and the type of drain line. Replacing an easily accessible p-trap under a sink could take as little as a half an hour, while replacing a larger section of drain line behind the wall could take as long as three to four hours. When hiring a plumber for your specific installation, ask them to provide an estimated timeline to get a more accurate assessment.

You might need a permit to modify or repair any portion of your plumbing system, including drainage lines, depending on where you live. In some areas, simple replacements of existing drain lines don’t require a permit. We recommend asking your drain pipe installer or your local building department about permitting requirements. In many cases, only certified plumbers can pull plumbing permits, so you’ll usually need to leave the permit application to your professional. The fee for the permit will be passed to you on your project bill, though.

We highly recommend leaving the work of replacing drain pipes to a professional plumber. Drain pipes are a key part of your plumbing system, and making mistakes during the installation or even using the wrong size pipes for your specific fixture can lead to an elevated risk of leaks and clogs. Additionally, drain pipes prevent harmful sewer gas from entering your home, so hiring a professional plumber is essential to keeping the risk of leaks and clogs low and avoid reducing your indoor air quality.
