"Every time it rains, I am reminded of how thankful I am that I decided to have my basement waterproofed. My home was built in 1924. So, it is a fixer-upper for sure. Anytime it rained (a hard torrential rain), my basement would flood. I would have to pump out 2 to 2 1/2 inches of water. Some states mandate that anyone doing plumbing work hold a plumber’s license, and some municipalities in other states require licensing, so it depends on where you live.
