"Very professional and courteous. Without my asking, he returned to replace a drainage pipe to match it with other sections. He didn't like the way it looked."

"Fernando & crew drained my crawlspace, replaced the vents, installed a sump pump with an outlet pipe extending to the street, and laid a new vapor barrier, along with installing a new crawlspace door. They answered all my questions, worked efficiently, and completed the job in 2 1/2 days. They removed all the old material. I am very pleased and would wholeheartedly recommend their services."

"After looking at the drain the Tech said I have some bad news and some good news. He said it cost $315.00. I said $315 for a kitchen sink!!!! I told him I have a coupon $89.00. I paid $217. That company is a rip off. Did you know they raise the price. I didn't save anything with that company. Will never use them again."

"Long story short I was attempting to install a new vanity over the copper supply lines for a bathroom sink. I bent the copper pipe which caused it to begin leaking. It was a Sunday night at 5:30 pm. Dan showed up even quicker than he had estimated. He was prompt, courteous and professional. He fixed the leak quickly including making recommendations to replace the 30 year old shut-off valves, which he did at the same time as fixing the leak. He also noticed the outside shutoff valve was leaking and was able to tighten the valve so that it would no longer leak. He made it quick and painless. He tried to make the higher than normal (weekend night) service fee worth the call out for us. Although it was a little more expensive because it was a weekend night, it was nice to know it had been fixed and we could turn the water on again. It was a great experience compared to our previous horrible experiences we had with Mister Quik."

"Soon after we moved into our house in 2019, one of the two sump pumps we had was not fully draining on its own. We called and let them know of the issue. About two days after the initial call they sent out a tech, he was on time and happy to help. Took a look over the sump pump that was not draining correctly and asked a few questions. Quickly figured out the issue, it needed a part so that it could drain properly on its own and without us needing to manually drain it ourselves as we had been doing the past few times it rained. Thank goodness!! Had the part readily available in his truck, had it installed within 15 minutes. The issue was fixed right away and we have yet to have another issue with the sump pumps. These guys are awesome, knowledgeable of their products and systems, and have wonderful customer service. I always recommend Everdry for anyone’s sump pump and waterproofing needs!"

"Draiage was put in with French pipe to dry up the flooded ground water in back yard. They hooked up the downspouts to the drainage . The team was very knowledgeable and explained everything to us. Worked in a professional manner. I would highly recommend them."

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

Bleach—even diluted bleach—is not always the safest option for cleaning your drains. With a high pH, bleach can be highly corrosive to many types of pipes, especially when used regularly. When mixed with household cleaners and organic waste, it can also create dangerous chemicals. Remember to use proper protective equipment and ventilation when dealing with bleach.

The cost to clean a sewer line is about $370, ranging from about $190 to $550 on average. The specific cleaning method and the problem's severity will impact the project's overall cost. Some of the most common sewer line cleaning methods include:

  • Snaking or rodding: $100–$250

  • Hydrojetting: $350–$600

  • Chemical treatments: $600–$1,000

  • Repair or replacement: $1,000–$7,500

If you try a drain snake and various DIY methods for unclogging drains to no avail, bring in a professional plumber to assess the situation. Also, if multiple drains in your home are backing up or you smell sewage, a visit from a plumber is best. You can expect your drain cleaning costs to fall around $250, and this can include an assessment of what’s caught in your plumbing and if there’s a larger, underlying problem. You should also consider calling a pro if you need to snake a toilet, as DIYing this could lead to a cracked fixture.

While you don’t have to run out and immediately buy a new toilet at the first sign of a clog, if the toilet keeps clogging because it’s a low-flow or poorly designed model, a new toilet may be the way to go. If your toilet keeps clogging, you can try using less toilet paper, adjusting the fill valve, checking the toilet vent pipe on the roof, and using a toilet auger to make sure nothing is stuck in the pipe or trap.

If you've discovered a rather frightening buildup of brown and black gunk below your shower cover, you're not alone. The smelly sludge is often a collection of mildew and biofilm. Biofilm comes from the breakdown of soap scum, hair, skin cells, and bacteria that collects during shower time. It's quite common in a humid space and relatively easy to clean with a gentle DIY cleaning solution such as baking soda and vinegar.
