"Shane diagnosed the problem with the one irrigation zone that was not working. I declined replacing any old valves at this point since the system will be back in full working order by my replacing a bad solenoid. Shane was quick and efficient in diagnosing the issue with my system. A professional in every way!"

"I can't say enough good things about my experience with Tim and Fishers Mulch.  I called one time earlier in the week just to get some prices and Tim answered the call himself.  After making several more calls to other companies I decided two days later to call Tim back in hopes that he could deliver 11 Cubic Yards of Mulch this weekend.  He said he was booked the next day but if I was around he could have it to me within about 45 minutes.   He was here within about 35 minutes with his truck and the mulch.
What a great guy....after he unloaded the truck, we had a good conversation and I asked him some questions about my mulch beds, and how to properly edge them etc.  He not only took the time to show me the best way, but he also offered to walk around the property and answered some questions about my downspouts, drainage and how to position the mulch around them.  He is a former Civil Engineer, so he has a great eye and knows his stuff.  You can tell he enjoys what he is doing and taking care of customers is his main priority.
With this being the first time I have had Mulch delivered to this house I only went by what the previous owners said they used to order in terms of quantity.  I asked Tim and he thinks I might have gotten too much.  We will see, but for a Mulch Company owner to say I might have purchased too much, shows the integrity he is trying to treat his customers with, so that was great.
I will absolutely do business with Tim and Fishers Mulch again and would urge others to do the same.
He has some future plans and some great marketing ideas that I will not mention due to his privacy, but his company will continue to flourish if he does them.
Thank You Tim,
Marc

"Our representative/installer and his crew were very prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and skilled in executing the lawn irrigation system. They also took great care in putting our lawn back together after extensive trenching and ground work. Our representative Taylor is extremely knowledgeable about the entire process and he is a huge reason we went with Traditional Concepts. We interviewed and received quotes from several providers but felt most comfortable and assured with Taylor's expertise throughout the entire process. We feel we are getting high quality, personalized service and aftercare for the money we invested. I highly recommend you consider Taylor of Traditional Concepts fr lawn irrigation installation and maintenance service!"

Lawn Irrigation questions, answered by experts

The best time to plant is between spring and autumn. Springtime weather is typically mild and is when nurseries start to bloom. When the summer weather arrives and it’s hot out, it’s best to avoid planting bare-root plants, but you can still plant many in-container varieties. The first sign of fall is another great opportunity to plant biennials if you live in southern states, or a lovely vegetable garden up north.

Technically no, but they can look very similar and people often refer to the weedy grasses interchangeably. However, several differences keep these species separate. Crabgrass is often a darker color than carpetgrass and tends to sprout much earlier in spring. When allowed to grow out, crabgrass grows stems outward from the center of a stalk in a star-like pattern, which carpetgrass does not have.

Buffalo grass spreads through both underground roots and above-ground stolons. The widespread root and stolon system makes up for this grass’s overall lack of density. It’s a hearty grass, so it spreads on its own slowly, especially considering that most of the male (no staminate) varieties of grass are sterile. You may think about over-maintaining your lawn to encourage growth, but this would have the opposite effect.

Choosing the right grass seed and planting it at the right time are the most important factors in establishing fast-growing grass. You also need adequate water, sunshine, and nutrients. To speed up the growth process, you can implement some tips and tricks, including watering it deeply and frequently, and using an iron-rich fertilizer to boost its appearance.

Seeding a lawn offers several advantages over laying sod, primarily related to cost and variety. Seeding is less expensive upfront, making it a more budget-friendly option. It also provides a much broader selection of grass varieties, allowing you to choose the best type for your specific climate and soil. Additionally, seeding allows grass roots to establish directly in the native soil, and the installation process is typically less labor-intensive than sodding. However, it's important to consider that sod offers better immediate protection against weeds and erosion.
