"This was our second call to All Temp for service. Mike was our technician and he is very knowledgeable and professional. He gave some good advice on cooling our house, what to look for in the HVAC system in a new house (we are looking), and didn't try to up-sell me on things we didn't need. "They've put in a new furnace, water heater, AC, etc. They are very reliable, but not inexpensive. Everything they do is quality and they only work with quality people. I had a problem with the air compressor on our AC right after the warranty had expired. Cahill said that they work with that company all the time and that part shouldn't have gone out that quick. They said they would talk to the company and see that it is made right, and they did."

Yes, the furnace and AC use the same blower. The blower is located in the base of the furnace and pushes hot air out of the furnace and into the ducts. It also pushes cool air through the home when the air conditioning is on. Even though the furnace and air conditioning work independently of one another, the blower is an essential component for both systems.

Ideally, an AC system should never need more Freon (a popular refrigerant) because it circulates in a closed loop. The cost to install a ductless mini-split AC system ranges from $2,000 to $14,000, depending on the type of unit, the number of zones or rooms, and the complexity of the installation. On the low end, a system for one or two zones in a single room costs around $2,000. Covering two zones for more rooms can cost between $6,000 and $8,000. For a larger multi-zone system to cover an entire home, costs can be $14,000. If you don’t already have an AC system in place, you may need to add the cost of permits, an electrician, and a concrete pad.
