From the proposal/quote stage all the way through payment, everything was fully communicated, executed quickly, and delivered with the utmost attention to detail —probably 2-3 weeks from first contact to finished work. They fixed the tuck pointing on our very old, crumbling limestone foundation and installed 3 glass brick windows. Even rough areas I would've expected them to miss because I hadn't explicitly pointed them out were touched up. Would definitely use again in the future. THANKS"

I called to pay the remainder of my bill and they agreed not to charge me the 2% credit card fee as consolation. so ... i'll use someone else next time."

They installed interior doors, recaulked my tub & refinished my wood floors & installed new trim. They also fixed a bedroom ceiling that was water damaged & painted it.I will hire them again in the future. I recommended them to my neighbor."

"We hired Design Invention to remodel an outdated Master Bathroom. We contacted a total of 6 contractors to get estimates on the work. We found that most of the estimates fell into one of two categories. Some contractors were pushing us towards specific design choices beyond what we originally wanted. These contractor were all the most expensive and were insistent on making the material choices through their suppliers. The other set of contractors provided little feedback on suggestions on what to do or not do. They seemed to be ready to come in do the work and get paid. The thing we found with Peter was that he was the only contractor we contacted who understood what we wanted but also was willing to make useful suggestions on things we had not considered and at a cost that would not push our job way over our budget. Peter also was very flexible with letting us pick our own materials and contacted us to his suppliers for contractor discount. In the end, we used a combination of material from Peter's suppliers, Home Depot, and Amazon. Overall, Peter was always very mindful of costs related to material and additional work and was never pushy to force us to pick one option over another. After agreeing to his estimate, it took about 3 months to get on his schedule to do the work. Once the work started, it took about 2 weeks to complete which was within scope of Peter's estimate when we discussed the work. Each day at least one worker would come and make progress. On some days (demolition, install tub, etc), additional workers came but overall there was never any day that progress was not being made. In addition to the main worker, there were specialist that came in for various parts of the job (tile person, plumbers, shower glass, granite countertop). All of them seemed to be professional and took care to clean up and minimize the mess. Overall, we were very satisfied with the remodel. There were a few minor issues but Peter was very responsive in getting them resolved. We found working with Peter a very good experience. He was knowledgeable, offered good suggestions, was mindful of costs, and very responsive. We will keep Design Invention in mind for remodels of our other bathrooms and kitchen in the future."

"I'm very happy with the work they did in my new master bathroom remodel, looks beautiful! Greg did not respond via email but as soon as I called him the time from first contact to coming out for a quote to final install was one week. He's very nice and helpful with giving design tips. His price was very reasonable vs the other quote I received for the same exact design/look. I would definitely use his company again!"

"It has taken me a long time to write a review because the experience with the owner of this company was very unpleasant. The owner spent most of a day at our house installing two new replacement interior slab doors. He damaged both doors during installation, and also put the doorknob to our bathroom door on backwards. The owner seemed very frustrated as he worked. Later, when I mentioned a burn mark that was sustained during installation, the owner became extremely angry to the point that I felt uncomfortable with him in my home. We didn't bother mentioning damage sustained to the other door, nor did we bother to mention or ask him to properly reinstall the doorknob on our bathroom door that he'd installed backwards. Note that this job was fully discussed before this owner accepted it. However, I think he may have regretted advertising a coupon discount. The owner appears to have anger management issues so, in light of the quality of his work and his behavior, I cannot recommend him."
