Door install went well, it opens and closes and looks nice. now i just have to clean up all the dust that was left behind. literally have to mop and dust my entire first floor and upstairs. installers didn't hang any plastic. I called to pay the remainder of my bill and they agreed not to charge me the 2% credit card fee as consolation. so ... i'll use someone else next time.

Highly recommend! The pricing and service were top-notch. Barry was amazing to work with. He was straightforward with us and kept us informed the entire process. Frank and Mark did a fantastic job of installing our new windows. This was a smooth process and much more enjoyable than we could have anticipated. We will definitely use them again for other projects.

I’m completely disappointed with the customer service I received from ThremalCraft. I called them after I purchased our new home in July 2021 and realized how many of the windows needed replacing. I wanted to work with a company that I trusted. Thermalcraft installed our windows in Elmhurst in the 1980’s and more recently put siding on that home. We were very pleased with their service in the past. Jim, the owner, came to our house in South Elgin at the end of October 2021 and we placed an order for four windows. He indicated that the windows would be ready by February 2022. While I wasn’t happy with the delay, I understood the reason and was ok with the arrangement. In late January, I identified two more windows that needed replacement and called Thermalcraft. Jim was on vacation and Pat took the call. We agreed to a time for him to come out and measure the windows. On that same call, I asked Pat when the original four windows would be installed and he said the windows were due in one week and he wasn’t going to wait for the other two. Two weeks later while at the house Pat started to change his story. Pat said that he would try to put a rush on the additional two windows and install at the same time. I said I was ok as long as it didn’t take too long. The weather (and house) were cold and we were anxious to get the work done. I called Pat a couple weeks later and asked about the timing of the new windows. Pat claimed that he wouldn’t know for another two weeks. It was clear to me that this was going to drag out, so I asked Pat to install the original four windows as you and I agreed. His response was “That’s not gonna happen.” I was a bit surprised at his response and asked why not. He said, “because I’m not going to send my team out to South Elgin twice.” Once again, I was very surprised by the lack of respect for the customer. I asked Pat to cancel the additional two window so he didn’t have to “come out twice” and he said “Well, it’s too late for that,” even though the order was only two weeks in and he couldn’t even tell me when the windows were coming. Again, no concern for the customer and a bit “heavy handed”. Pat did call at the end of March to offer one date for installation. We were going away for that weekend and Pat said his installer would call to set up another time. No phone call. My wife called 10 days later to ask about installation and at that time, Pat called her back to set up the installation in April. Again, I can’t tell you how disappointed I am at the lack of concern exhibited by ThermalCraft for the customer. It’s really left a sour taste in my mouth and of course, I’ll never use or recommend them again. Ironically, we decided to replace the remaining windows (a total of 10) in our home about a week after my conversation with Pat. Needless to say, we weren’t going to call Thermalcraft based on his poor attitude. Fortunately, I found an outstanding company who came out the second week of February and installed the windows by the end of March only 5 weeks later (18 weeks less than Thermalcraft). They are actually located further away than Thermalcraft and didn’t seem to have a problem with the distance. The windows are top quality, less expensive and have a lifetime warranty. Several of our neighbors have been asking us for recommendations. I plan to promote his company instead. The bottom line: Don’t go with ThermalCraft as they clearly are more concerned with themselves and not the customer’s needs.

Very well. The 2 installers began removing the old windows and door at approx. 8:30 am on January 13th and had the new ones fully installed and the job completed by 1:00 pm same day. They did an excellent job, laying down tarps to eliminate tracking in any snow and cleaned up so well that we didn't need to do any follow-up cleaning after they left.

Thermalcraft was professional and accommodating in every way. Their crew of 3 did excellent work and completed our job (a two story colonial) in 4 days.

They did the install and everything went smoothly. They were easy to work with. I would hire them again.

Thermalcraft and their team of installers did an excellent job on a big project on our house. We had Vinyl Siding Installed, Aluminum Soffit/Facia Installed, New Gutters and Storm Doors installed. Their workmanship was excellent and everything looks great. The job took about 2 and half weeks to complete and we would definitely hire again.

Barry was wonderful to work with. He was on time for our appointment and explained the process clearly. We picked out our door and a few weeks later the installers came with the products. Everything was exactly as we picked. The installers were professional and curteous. They worked quickly, cleaned up after the work was complete. Even our dog liked having them here. We even had a touch of rotten underlayment that they were happy to fix for us. We would definitely use Thermalcraft again.

Thermalcraft replaced two patio doors in my home, and the work was so good, I am still smiling months later. The salesman came to my house right away to provide a quote. The installers came on the day and at the time they said they would. The quality of the doors is excellent. And, the trim work is exceptional--perfectly mitered corners and careful installation. When they left my home, they took the old doors and all the debris with them. I could not be happier with them and will use again!

We got multiple estimates and Thermalcraft was least expensive but also great to work with. We paid $3850 for two new exterior doors and one new window. I highly recommend them.

Scheduling was exactly as planned. No surprises in price or additional charges. Guys cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day. Customer service is prompt and responsive (Mr. Pat Nelligan). Would definitely hire again for future projects.

We just had new doors and windows installed throughout our house! This was the second time we've used Thermalcraft, as we had french doors installed in our previous house. We were so happy with the customer service and product, we wanted to use them again, and we couldn't be happier! The installers had such great attention to detail and were very curtious and respectful of the things in our home. The customer service that Pat provided went over and beyond. Thank you so much!

It turned out to be an odd-sized door, and of course something unexpected is bound to happen when the old door and frame are removed. The guys were extremely professional and handled everything within an afternoon. I can tell the room is so much better insulated now. Very pleased with their work.

Smooth as silk

Very professional, punctual and neat. During installation, the guys ran into an issue with the old interior window frames which we weren’t planning on replacing originally and Thermalcraft worked out a fair compromise.

I needed both the front and back storm doors replaced. But it wasn't only replacement - the frames around both doors were in horrible shape and needed to be repaired. Thermalcraft did an excellent job. When Barry came out for the initial quote, he walked me through all my options and took the time to work with me to decide what was the best fit for my needs. After the doors arrived, Dave not only installed the doors, but when over and beyond to repair and replace the frames around them. He did a fantastic job in miserable weather. Both men were professional, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with.

As good as it gets. Initial meeting was no nonsense, and an incredibly competitive quote was provided on the spot. No bait and switch, no haggling. Upfront pricing. From there, they were incredibly clear on the timeline for install, which was a bit longer given custom door sizing. They hit the timing on the nose. Day of install, their installer was on time and very efficient. Knocked out the 3 doors in two days. Looks good as new. This is the best door company ive dealt with. If I had more doors to do, theyd be my go to!

No hassle sale, professional service, quality windows!

We wanted to replace our back patio sliding door with a set of french doors. The workers who replaced the back door had to cut into our frame to make the new set fit, but they look incredible and I am confident the job was done correctly. They were very responsive over the phone and in person, and the work was done even earlier than was previously estimated. Super happy with them!

Extremely well, workers showed up on time each day, cleaned up each evening when they finished and did a superb job.
