"Dear Sir, The picture painted here is an all too familiar one. The poor disabled woman being taking advantage of by the mean, manipulative contractor. While the tale is timeless, it is also not true. We were hired to do a job. We came out and looked at your project, shortly thereafter we sent you quote. We received an immediate verbal approval and send a contract for signature along with a request for the deposit. The subsequent delay that ensued was due largely in part to the 10 day delay in getting the contract and deposit from you. Once we received those, we were on site the next day to start demolition and prep for the job. This is when we discovered you had not yet hired the electrician needed not only to complete your project, but to complete the permit application process. It was another 6 days before you hired the additional contractor. It was another 3 days before all the needed paperwork was received by your village in order for them to review. At this time, had you communicated with us, that you wanted to use another plumber, we would have simply charged you for the work performed and parted ways. Instead you made claims that we had taken advantage of you and your mother. I’m not sure why you felt that was necessary. Maybe you felt embarrassed, or there was a financial issue, regardless of the issue on your end, there was no need to take your frustrations out on an online forum. There are far more kind and professional ways of handling an injury to one’s pride. We wish you and your mother well on your future endeavors."
