Once I removed the tools inside to prepare for their work, I realized I also needed the floor replaced. "I have never worked with other decorators, but Nick brings the shopping to me.  He has samples to show me or he sends links to pictures.    This has made the process so easy. 
I really enjoy working with Nick.  He is offers great ideas but is flexible when my budget or personal taste requires.  He has great
furniture contacts for reasonably priced, well built materials.  I got a great modular couch that can be reconfigured to meet the needs of the group in the room.  It was Nick's idea that it be modular because it served many functions but  it was also good for getting the pieces into the space.
Nick is also willing to disagree.   I am paying him for his opinion, so that's what I want.
In my experience with Nick decorating is not delivered in a one moment package.   One piece comes,  a little later some other pieces come. Then there is the final arranging and accessorizing and we are done.  It is a bit like completing a puzzle - typically not done in one sitting. 
Nick is also respectful of budget.  It is very easy in decorating to get carried away or make changes that impact the budget.  Nick has always offered me options to stay on budget, and when we veer off it has been my decision.

"I received a few quotes from fencing companies. My husband and I decided to hire Flores Fencing. The quotes I received from the different fencing companies were pretty similar as far as cost but we decided to go with Flores Fencing because they were the only company that seem enthusiastic about getting our business. The other companies, which have been in business a lot longer than Flores Fencing, never even bothered with any form of follow up communication after they gave me the quote. Emanuel however, was great at communicating with me throughout the process and Wilfredo was great at addressing my questions or concerns about my project. The workers were efficient and after completing the installation of my fence and gate, they made sure they left my yard pristine. Wilfredo, who is one of the salesperson, came over to help the workers to make sure the work was completed in one day. He even took it upon himself to fix a gate that was not part of our project which he noticed needed a simple repair. The fence and gate they installed looks absolutely wonderful. I am so pleased! "There were three contractors involved in the rehab of our front entrance: Murphy’s Windows & Sunroom for the entry door and staining, The Steam Whisperer for the radiator and Ardrahan Woodworking for the bench. Murphy’s was the lead contractors but all did an outstanding job; as they each not only exceled at their individual tasks, but worked well with each other to ensure a timely finish to the project and minimal disruption to the running of our home. This was critical we have a preschooler and I run a design business out of the house and have clients come through the front door daily! We knocked out the closet and fixed the plaster ourselves so the craftsmen had a clean slate to work with. A cast iron radiator was added to the room to heat the room, but as the walls in this room were not insulated – therefore, the door needed to allow for temperature control between the entry room and the living room. Ardrahan Woodworking built the bench with slots for shoes and to allow heat to circulate from the new radiator. A drawer was added for function, as well as hooks for guests’ coats. (Ardrahan also did their own staining of their own work) Murphy’s then came and installed the pre-hung door they helped me select to fit our purpose. Their craftsmen took a full day to custom build the new trim to match the adjacent door – the match of style was perfect. Finally, Murphy’s sent their stain guy to match the stain – a true artist – as the crown molding in the front entrance was a few shades darker than the living room. So to make the best match he stained the two sides of the door to match the side they are on – and did both sides dead on color! The space is now warm (temperature), open and welcoming. It is everything we hoped it would be and more! All three contractors came in on time, one budget and exceeded our expectations in craftsmanship!"
