"I messaged them on a Saturday to see if they could figure out why smoke enters my home, when I use the fireplace.  They messaged back that I could call on Saturday night.  I didn't see the message and thought I'd try on a Sunday and they made time to talk to me.  They said they offered to take a call on Sat night, because they thought I had smoke entering the home and they wanted to help me stop it.  They gave advice on how to stop the problem for free.  I don't think it'll solve my problem, so they said they can look at the problem and see if there's something they can do. 
I haven't met too many people eager to help you out for free on a Saturday night.  They'll be first on the list whenever I have a problem with the chimney.  Hopefully, their work matches their service, which went above and beyond what is expected.

"Absolutely outstanding.  If there were something higher than an A, they'd get it.  I have an old house, and the ash pit for our fireplace had not been emptied in many years--maybe never.  I had another highly rated Angie's List company look at it last year, and they told me they couldn't possibly clean out the ash pit without me spending a lot of money ($1500 or more) due to the heavy and wet state of the ash (old, leaky basement) and the need for extensive brick repairs and replacement of the ash pit door.  A Chimney USA did the whole thing for $380."

"We woke up to a terrible stench coming out of our fireplace. We knew whatever it was wasn't going to be pretty. We needed help fast. Gem was the first company to answer our call. They sent out Vincent within hours, and he found the culprits-dead squirrels who had gotten trapped in the chimney. Vincent removed them and disinfected the fireplace. Then he inspected both of the chimneys on our 100+ year old house. He showed my husband the camera pics. We needed a new cap on the fireplace chimney and repairs on both chimneys. He came back and fixed everything a week later when the cap came back. Vincent gets 5 stars. I would use them again. The only issue I had was with GEM phone customer service. They had a problem (on their end, not ours) with one of the checks and tried to pressure me into using Zelle. I would have preferred putting it on a credit card, but they don't take them. Credit cards and checks give customers consumer protections."
