"I purchased a new AC unit last summer. When firing it up last month, the motor was dead and required a replacement. The motor had to be ordered, and I was told they would cover the cost of the motor (I should hope so), but I'd have to pay for the installation. I feel that, when purchasing a piece of equipment that expensive, one expects both the vendor and manufacturer to fully stand behind their products. Obviously, they did not. I tried to call the service manager to discuss this, but had to leave a message since he wasn't available. No return call. When the repair person came out to do the installation, I also asked him to have the service manager call. Again, no follow through. CAC also schedules for full day windows. For many households, that is simply not manageable. We have jobs, and I think the CAC policy is simply indicative that they are taking their customers' needs seriously. I have no complaints about the service technician that did the repair"

"My garage floor cracked and coating discolored 1 year after install. Crack was the size of your hand. Wanted to charge me $400-600 for repair. Was told it would not crack. Way too expensive for sub par filling material thats shrinks and cracks. They talk a good talk but do not stand behind there work. Stay away from this company and find one that will stand behind there product and material."

Headquartered in O’Fallon, Illinois, The Spengler Company services the entire metro-east including communities like Belleville, Edwardsville, Troy, Highland, Collinsville, Waterloo, Columbia and more. When customers need us we are there: 24 hours a day, seven days a week. That is not something everyone can say. The safety of our homeowners is of our utmost concern, which is why every employee is drug tested and background checked.

As part of the repair, the associate convinced me to purchase a maintenance package. The package reduced the total cost of the job and basically paid for itself. My issues with this company really began when I scheduled the AC maintenance. I was told that technicians would be coming between 8-11. At 11 no one showed up yet. I called and was told that the window for service was 8-12, which was not what I was originally told. I had to reschedule. On the second attempt for service I chose the window of 8-12. At 11:00 a costumer service rep called me and said the technician would arrive closer to 12:30 due to some emergency calls. At 1:40 I called customer service and was told the technician was still in another job. They again mentioned that there were several emergency jobs and that they were down a technician. I completely understand that emergencies can crop up. However this company does not appear to be very accommodating or forthright; you work on their schedule and better not have anything more important to take care of while you wait all day for them to show up."
