My garage floor cracked and coating discolored 1 year after install. Crack was the size of your hand. Wanted to charge me $400-600 for repair. Was told it would not crack. Way too expensive for sub par filling material thats shrinks and cracks. They talk a good talk but do not stand behind there work. Stay away from this company and find one that will stand behind there product and material.

The new rollers on the door work great. The door opens and closes without any effort. The old rollers were worn out and needed to be replaced, we should have done it sooner. The broken window glass was replaced and new caulk was added around the glass. The new glass shines. The installer, John Burkell did a great job on the repairs.

The problem is we have had an ongoing issue. They have been providing the service free, it was just something they needed to fix so they haven't charged us. They have come out and are trying to fix it so the whole thing is frustrating. I think they have been good about it, but it is leaking where they attached the sunroom to the house. The sunroom itself is fine. They also installed windows and we haven't been too happy with those windows either.

Room itself is ok. However, during construction, an infestation of stink bugs in the room occurred. The workers and management were aware, said it would resolve when roofed. However, did not and room poorly sealed. We CANNOT use the room 2/2 the bugs. Not 1 or 2, > 10 daily. And the stench in the room is horrible. Poor poor company response. Exterminator did not resolve, he agrees room not sealed. 50 K and unusable room.

Everything went well will the product and installation. I'm just extremely unhappy about the price I paid. I could have installed 2 systems for what I paid... I get mad every time I see a sun setter commercial. I so should not have used them, but I had a credit (and they wouldn't issue a check) and I got tired of them calling. So it was the only thing that wasn't overpriced way over anybody else. Be sure to get a quote from another contractor before hiring these guys... Way overpriced!!
Response from Patriot Sunrooms & Home Solutions Inc
"The product that the customer received is second to none. A lot of research went into picking the manufacturer we use. Yes, they are substantially more expensive than Sun Setter. However, weighing all of the advantages, we felt it was worth the difference, and our customers would appreciate the difference in the quality. I regret that the member feels the way that they do. If they felt that strongly, I’m curious as to why they would have moved forward with the project?"

On April 30, 2015, I called Angie's List requesting information about how complaints were addressed and was told I needed to contact Patriot Sunroom first to resolve my complaint. I made an appointment with a Patriot Sunroom Service Representative, Tim McClune to have a representative come to my home on May 7, 2015 at 1:30p.m.

I was prompted to contact Angie's List Complaint Resolution Process after talking with Tim McClune later that day. He sent someone to my home prior to  1:30p.m. to take pictures of my deck when he initially asked me to meet him at my home. Consequently, I came home at 1:30p.m. and had to call McClune to find out why no one was there to meet me.

Consequently, there was a ground hog that had gotten under the new deck. My contention was prior to the new deck being installed there was no gap/opening between the rock bed and the former deck that was replaced. McClune told me he was not going to repair the gap that was left open as part of the deck installment. He suggested pouring concrete as a solution at an additional cost to me. I let him know I was very dissatisfied with his response to my complaint.
Response from Patriot Sunrooms & Home Solutions Inc
"New deck was built to the specifications of the customer. It was known before the start of the project that the size would be different than the original. There are different options available to enclose the bottom of a deck. The customer wan't charged for any additional options. We would still be willing to work with the customer to enclose the bottom of the deck. There would be a charge to do the additional work."

This project went very smoothly.  The design representative made measurements and provided an immediate quote.  Scheduling was handled professionally, and when the schedule had to be changed, they let us know.  The installers did a great job preparing and cleaning up the site, so the potentially dirty job of removing glass block didn't leave a mess.  The windows look good, and we're happy with the results.

What we were talking about was adding on a sunroom to the back of our house and that what started the whole thing. We figured out that it would make more sense to do windows because that is an absolute necessity and the sunroom was way out of our budget so we went with just the windows with them. We were very impressed with them. Everyone we talked to was very professional, very helpful, and they went out of their way to find out what our needs were. We like the quality of their product and if we had the money, we would have done a sunroom. I think we got good value for our money.

Patriot replaced my sun room roof that had been put on by another company (now out of business) and they did a wonderful job.  Not to mention they came back and did extra work on the sun room above and beyond replacing the roof.  They were very responsive about all of my requests and very respectful of me.

The salesperson at Patriot Sunrooms & Windows Inc. We went to the showroom. They went out of their way explain everything to us about the windows and also show us all their sunrooms and that type of stuff. They people who came out to measure our windows took the time to explain everything to us and how it was going to be done and what we needed to do to prepare for them to come in and do the work. The windows came in faster than they said they would, which was wonderful. The installers showed up on time and they're doing a wonderful job. I have no complaints at all.

We had built a deck on the back of our house.  It always got afternoon sun and was too hot.  After 14 years, it was time to do something with it because it was deteriorating.  We called Patriot to get options on what we could do - awning, screened porch, three season room, and four season room.  After going through all the options, we determined that we would get the most out of a four season room with not a significant difference in cost.  Patriot did a nice job scheduling with us, was very flexible, and take their customer service VERY seriously.  I'm NOT an easy customer to please and they handled my needs/wants really well and with a smile.  The sunroom is beautiful.  Anything that I pointed out to them and questioned, they answered or addressed directly.  Great product, very professional employees, and great customer service.  Thanks, Matt, Laura, Mark, Steve, Jack, Jake, and Gene.  Great job!

Called Patriot and got a bid the same day.
They started as soon as the material arrived.
They removed the old wood arbor and carried it away.
They built a new arbor and it is sturdy and beautiful.
It is attached to the house and near the pool.
This is not the only work that we have had done by Patriiot.
They have replaced a large front window, installed two new screen doors with storm windows, and built a large sunroom.
I would obviously use them again.

My wife and I contacted Patriot Sunrooms for an estimate.  Our contact,  Mel Hope was very knowledgable about what could
and could not be done.  His pleasent "can do" attitude went a long way to make what seemed a daunting project very doable.
Patriot's designer was very exacting and answered all of our questions satisfactorily and in a timely fashion. He was able to
overcome several obstacles in order to provide a great design that complimented our home.
Construction was started early, I believe, in order to take advantage of a break in the weather.
The Contruction Crew always arrived on time and worked continuously  in spite of the low temperatues.  They were always
courteous, and responsive to questions.  Their work was always the highest quality and never took a short cut in order to get done.
When complete, the Construction Crew completely cleaned up and left the whole project clean and neat.
Overall, our experience with Patriot Sunrooms was excellent.  The project went very well in spite of the snow, rain and cold.
Everyone connected with Patriot was knowledgable, polite and above all professional.  My wife and I are proud of our Patriot
Sunroom and are proud to show it off.
When asked, who constructed this room, we will be priviledged to recommend Patriot.

I could tell Patriot has been around a long time and has built 100s of these rooms, if not more. That is why I selected them over cheaper companies as I did not want to spend $1000s and then find out it was a shoddy job.  So I felt I was paying a bit more for security of construction and commitment to their guarantee.  They basically build these rooms from scratch, piece by piece and it is a high skill.  Patriot is very organized and efficient and I am happy with their work, from start to finish.  At times I got a little testy due to other major stresses in my life and they were always polite and put up with my angst.  There were many small details to check up on and they were great at always getting back to me etc.  They also worked with me to get me the kind of baseboard I wanted.  They got the permits from Webster etc.  Would use them again.

The project was started in early October after we agreed on a contract.  They had to tear down the old deck and small, covered porch in the back of the house.  They removed our gas grill connection before tearing down the old deck.  This was completed quickly.  Next, they built the deck and then they increased the size of the porch to make a 4 season room.  Then they enclosed the 4 season room with glass.  We kept the overhang from the porch and added a glass roof to the other half of the porch.  Their electrician put in a fan, lights and heater/air conditioner.  We bought the lights and fan separately.  We also bought deck lights and their electrician put them in for us.  We had to hire another company to put in the tile floor in the sunroom.  We made changes to the concrete that was in the plans.  We added more concrete on the area of ground covered by the porch.  We paid extra to have this completed the way we wanted.  We had to call in another company to remove our hot tub during this process.  The project ended a week before Christmas.  We were so happy with the sunroom we almost didn't notice they didn't put a gate on the top deck.  When we reminded them there wasn't any problem, except that we are still waiting  for materials to finish a gate on the deck.   The workmanship was excellent and the workers were friendly and easy to talk to.  If we had a problem it was easy to call the office to get answers that we needed.  The biggest problem was a disagreement over what was expected for the concret under the deck and sunroom.  We worked it out and ended up paying more, but it was more concrete than we had predicted.

From start to finish they were wonderful.  When the gentleman came out to explain the product to us he was very professional.  The person who measured was also great.  The crew that installed the windows was excellent.  They were all very courteous, respectful, and helpful.  They cleaned up after themselves as well.  I would definitely recommend them to others.

We signed a contract in March, and construction did not begin until late June.  The crew that did the work was very polite, and did a fair job, but they often didn't begin work until late in the morning and they packed up by 2:30-3:00 on most days.  The time they took to complete the job was about two months - even though the weather was sunny and clear for all but 3 days of the project.  For one solid week no one showed up to work on our project.  When we called to ask about this, we were told the crew had been assigned to another job and my wife was called "a squeaky wheel".  I had to make several phone calls to find needed information about siding and roofing materials when we were told Patriot would take care of this.  Construction items were stored on three sides of the house, killing most of our lawn, rather than in the back of the house - where there was ample room to store things.  Overall the sunroom is fine, but fit and finish is poor.  I had to remove and adjust the windows so that they would slide properly, and I had to install sheet metal screws in a couple of places where they were missing.   The heating and air-conditioning unit was defective at the time of installation.  When we called Patriot to ask about this (they never tuned the unit on to see if it would work.) we were told it was "our problem" and that we were responsible for getting it fixed.  It seemed that once the final check was given (about 10 days before the completion of the project) - they were done with us.  For $35,000 I expected better customer service and a more cooperative office staff!  We would not use Patriot again, and will not recommend them to our friends.

"Paperwork was approved on 3.19.11 to proceed with the project. 3.24.11 the paperwork with approved, processed and the job was set to be measured. 3.28.11 measurements sent to engineer to generate plans for the customers approval and used to get a permit. 4.20.11 plans approved by customer. 4.21.11 permit applied for. With this project there was an extra step needed to get a HOA approval. Permit approved on 5.25.11 and an email was sent that included 6 pages of information as to what to expect during the installation. Then a follow up call was scheduled to review the information that was emailed. Item 9 on page 3 lets the customer know that if they have a preference as to where they would like to have material stored, please let us know. We are always happy to accommodate the request as long as the designated area is adjacent to the work area. Materials were received in our warehouse on 6.6.11. 6.16.11 a start date was set. Materials were delivered on 6.17.11. Installation began on 6.20.11. There was a lot that went into the installation of the project. For example: a new platform that required piers to be dug and concrete to be poured. Then it was insulated and plywooded. A conventional knee was built for the new window to sit on. A roof system was installed and shingled. A bay window was removed from the existing home to access the new space. Electric was run. Drywall was installed, taped, mudded. These are just a few things that went into the project. Patriot Sunrooms & Home Solutions backs up the installation of the project for 2 years. Had the concern of adjusting the windows been brought to our attention we would have been more than happy to take care of it. With the heating and cooling unit a new process has been put into place. It is the manufactures policy that the final user of the unit be the one to call them. It's not that we don't want to help, it's that we can't because of the policy. Now if an issue arises with a heating and cooling unit we get a conference call with the customer and the manufacture. It's unfortunate that this member didn't feel they had a good experience with our company. Patriot Sunrooms & Home Solutions has been in business since 1957. During that time we have had the opportunity to help our customers out with second and even third projects. We are even helping out second and third generations."

We are going to use this company. The guy was good and he really tried to listen to what we wanted as far as look and feel. He arrived early but he didn’t inconvenience us by showing up before we were expecting him; he waited outside until it was time to come in. He gave us a written estimate which the other two companies did not. I like the fact that the first offer was very reasonable and he didn’t try to make us feel like he was taking off this and taking off that.

I have used them many years ago and they did a fine job then. This time they quoted a high price. They gave 2-3 different discounts but they were still high. I felt that they were quoting me for something that was top of their line, which I did not want. I just wanted unheated glass door and windows but they did not understand my view.
