"I called A-1 Superior Plumbing and they answered the call. They were able to accommodate my schedule and were out the following day and replaced the ejector pump. My dealings with this company were positive. Joe, who came to my home to do the job, was professional and efficient and I would definitely use them again."

"Previous access to service main line was via 3-inch pipe in outside catch basin. After storm water back-up flooded basement, a large deep pit was discovered under the basement flooring. The particle board covering pit had swelled with water. Crew was on time. Owner, Chris, was there to oversee work. They were very efficient and tidy. Full 6-inch maintinence access and no more scary pit! I'm very pleased with this company.

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Correctly completed plumbing work in Mokena will always have an approved permit and a passed inspection on record with the village. A licensed professional will ensure all installations meet strict state codes. Look for proper pipe slopes, appropriate support intervals, and correct venting configurations. Additionally, thoroughly sealed and vented sump and ejector pits confirm the job meets all required safety and quality standards.

Helpful?

Your Mokena home is an excellent candidate for plumbing upgrades if it was built before 1980 and still has galvanized steel supply pipes. Experience low water pressure, rust-colored water, or frequent drain clogs? These signs indicate aging infrastructure that requires immediate replacement. Furthermore, uninsulated crawl spaces and sump pump systems older than seven years demand professional attention to prevent severe water damage.

Helpful?

As homes age throughout IL, plumbing needs shift from basic maintenance to major system replacements. Newer properties require simple water heater flushing and sump pump testing. Between fifteen and thirty years, water heaters fail and hard water scale damages fixtures. By the thirty-year mark, failing galvanized supply lines, corroded cast iron drains, and tree root intrusions in clay soils necessitate full system repiping.

Helpful?

Routine plumbing maintenance in Mokena focuses heavily on freeze prevention and water quality. You must insulate pipes in unheated crawl spaces and garages before winter. Because local water carries moderate hardness, flush your water heater and descale fixtures annually. Additionally, test your sump pump before the spring thaw and drain outdoor hose bibs before the first hard freeze to prevent severe pipe damage.

Helpful?

For plumbing projects in IL, keep pipe insulation sleeves ready to protect exposed lines from severe winter freezes. You should also maintain a battery-powered backup sump pump and a discharge hose to handle heavy spring storms during power outages. Stock up on descaling materials and water softener salt to combat hard water buildup, and always use approved, lead-free materials for any repairs.
