"I was getting quotes on flood control systems for my basement and Charlie was one of the 3 I called. Of the three, he was the only one to offer me options. Charlie spent a considerable amount of time explaining the different systems available and made suggestions on the best possible and cost efficient one suitable for my basement. He suggested that I have a camera run through the buildings main sewer line first to find out what type of pipe I have (cast iron or clay) and what condition it's in. Charlie explained in detail what we were seeing on the monitor. The price was fair for the time spent and the reassurance that the sewer line was in good condition. Based on what we saw in the camera and Charlies recommendation I decided to try the standpipe. I had him come back a third time. He rethreaded an existing hole were the old standpipe used to be and then installed a new 5' standpipe. It took less than an hour and the price was ok (much less than any other system). A few days later we had a 2 day rainfall and the standpipe actually worked! (I had my doubts). A rain like that would normally mean water gushing into the basement from the old standpipe hole."
