"It was a very good service. It was nice and quick. He provided the details and he found the issue, he provided the feedback of the house to the previous owner and there is no issue. He is precise and specific, inspect every detail of the house, he helped us to estimate the furnace, old pipes before gone into this thing, and it is very helpful to us a lot. I would recommend him to any other people who would be needing any inspection in their real estate property. Very professional kind of customer service. Very good price and very affordable."

"Chuck asked all the right questions before giving a quote and gave us multiple options to address the problem leaks. His serviceman, Josh, was courteous and professional, clean and efficient. They filled two basement cracks with the injection sealant and we are pleased with the results. I would use them again.

"I wanted to share my experience of the level of service I received from Chicago Crawlspace & Basement Pros I had about 1-2 inches of standing water in my basement after frivolous attempts at vacuuming the mess up frustrated I called company "P" to come out to fix my foundation crack to find out they wanted close to $600 for the job and wouldn't be able to come out for six weeks!!! then I called Chicago Crawlspace & Basement Pros and Andy was able to fix my leaking foundation crack the SAME DAY!!!! and Saved me Hundreds of dollars all while being Professional and explaining every step of the process putting me at ease I can't thank Andy enough and Chicago Crawlspace & Basement Pros you guys really make everyone else look like amateurs

Thank You Again

Radon Detection and Reduction questions, answered by experts

The soil beneath your house is most likely what’s causing an increased level of radon. This is because soil holds radioactivity for a long time and it’s also what most buildings are built on. Another common source of radon is water from a source that hasn’t been through periodic radon tests, such as well water. Over time, the radon from the soil can inhabit other parts of your house like the foundation or plumbing.

The cost to replace a radon fan ranges from $300 to $600 for the fan itself, with installation adding an additional $200 to $500. Overall, the total cost for replacement can range from $500 to $1,100, depending on factors such as the fan model, home size, and local labor rates. If the fan is part of a larger radon mitigation system, the price may be higher.

Yes, many systems include warranties for performance. Confirm terms with your installer.

No level of radon is technically safe, but since it is naturally present everywhere, it is impossible to avoid entirely. The average radon level in homes across the United States is 1.3 picocuries per liter (pCi/L). The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recommends taking action to reduce radon levels if your home's test results are between 2 and 4 pCi/L or higher.

A homeowner can install a radon mitigation system on their own. But it’s a challenging DIY that requires a lot of knowledge about radon mitigation as well as familiarity with local regulations. You do not want to risk an improper installation that leaves the system unable to detect radon or gives it a shortened life span. Relying on a professional is the surest way to guarantee a successful installation.
