"After the big spring rains, water began seeping into my basement at several locations. I could see tree roots encroaching on the sump pump and assumed that drain tile was clogged resulting in water pressure strong enough to seep through the joint between the foundation wall and the floor. Tim explained that tree roots should be killed off with copper sulfate and that seepage was likely the result of cracks in the foundation wall that are covered up by the drywall. He said a single leak can appear in multiple locations as it travels along the 2x4's anchored to the floor. We talked about how I could go about finding cracks. He showed me the machine he would use if I decided to have him clear out the drains and warned that the silt and debris may tear up my sump pump. His focus was on helping me understand what my options are, not selling me a service I may not need and for that I'm grateful. I will definitely call him back when the time comes."

Despite the fact that the ground was saturated, they were able to dig down, find the leak, repair it, and then did a great job putting back all the mud and grass so that it is level. I will definitely call them the next time I need a plumber."

I opted to replace, and he was back the next day, on time. He put the new unit in and tested it. Something was not right with the backup pump. "1960's home. Original copper and cast iron pipes. Well water. There was an extreme Sulfur smell that penetrated the whole system even with single stage carbon filters and a thorough bleaching and flushing of the system. All Affordable installed all new pex supply lines throughout the home, and replaced all the old drainage lines with PVC. There was an immediate improvement in the odor. Their team was professional, knowledgeable, and hard working. They took precautions due to COVID. They laid tarps down to protect all the flooring, and did a good job of cleaning up when they were done. I was especially impressed by Juan and Cornel. The quote and Initial scheduling went very smoothly. They were prompt, friendly and informative, and completed the work quickly and efficiently. Unfortunately, a couple of the items I had ordered from alternative suppliers were delayed due to COVID, so they had to schedule a time to return after the remaining items were delivered. The scheduling of the follow-up appointment was a bit difficult, and is the only reason I did not give them all 5 stars. I am a DIYer, so I did not have them repair the drywall or finish the entire bath remodel, but I have attached a few pictures anyway. I am a single middle aged woman and I never felt talked down to or taken advantage of. They were wonderful, and I would highly recommend All Affordable Plumbing!"
