"Chaffee did an excellent job on the masonry repair I needed. Had been looking for someone to repair concrete stone steps leading from 2 wide patio glass doors into my back yard. Work was perfect. "I could not have asked for a better landscaper. When Frank came for the estimate he took the time to explain what was going to have to be done to give me a great looking wall. After the estimate was submitted and accepted he directed me to the supplier where I could look at a multitude of brick choices and actually see what they looked like, not just pictures. I had to delay the start of the wall in order to have some work done on my driveway. Frank was very patient. Once that work was done he immediately worked my job into his schedule. Showed up on a Monday morning as scheduled. Removed the old wall( 125ft of timber) and prepped the area for construction. This included having to remove approximately 2ft of dirt back from the wall site. At the end of the day you could only tell that Frank and his crew had been there because of the piles of dirt( this was all going to be reused) in my driveway. The rest of the area was basically spotless. On days 2 and 3 Frank and his crew ( 3 more men) built a 125ft wal of brick including laying down drainage behind the wall, backfilling as the wall went up with a dirt and gravel mix, and capping the wall. And a beautiful wall it is.
Frank also picked out the color of the brick. I had picked the brick, but when asked by Frank what color I left it to him. I said " You have done a hundred of these. You know my house color. Pick what you think would look good." He did a fantastic job. He and his crew are to be commended. Without a doubt any other landscaping work I would ever do would be done by Emerald Bloom Landscaping."

"Our beautiful new (to us) home has a gorgeous chimney that had gone unused and without maintenance for about 23 years. We wanted to ensure it was both safe to use and ready to withstand autumn, winter, and festive holiday fires for years to come. After a thorough inspection we got a lot of good news. Our chimney is well built, the stone is holding up great, and it absolutely could last us a lifetime. Then we got the not as fun news…we had about 23 years worth of maintenance to catch up on. Thankfully all of it was well within our budget, thoroughly explained, detailed without being overwhelming, and he even did a deep dive all over the house just to be extra sure there wasn’t anything missing that would require another visit. (He even fixed some loose stone in an unrelated part of the house for free.) Already looking forward to my first fire in my new home. I’ll be calling Top Hat for our annual maintenance as long as we own our home."

"Rob and his crew did a great job.. outside tuck pointing, crack repair, new damper, holes filled. Inside new mortar, smoke chamber fire proofed, new ceramic logs, silica, gas line. Showed us how to operate the new damper and light the fireplace. Perfect job."
