Easy as any construction job can go. Did a little extra that wasn't in the bid, to make me a happy customer. Great imagination on interior and exterior design. The work they have done looks great .

Tom and his crew installed a retaining wall last September and did a great job. We had him back this spring to do some more extensive work. Two huge concrete porches were removed from the front of the house and replaced with beautiful stone ones. An existing concrete walkway was removed and replaced with pavers to match the porches and wall. In the rear of the house Tom installed an new patio and connecting walkway. In addition, to help with drainage problems in the back (there's a very steep slope) Tom installed an inground drainage pipe and river stone borders. Tom and his crew arrived at 6.30-7.00am everyday and worked solidly until 5pm or later. Tom had estimated the work might take up to two weeks to complete but, with weather on our side, the job was completed in 5 days. Amazing! Wall Landscaping also perform our routine garden maintenance. They are reliable and unlike others we've encountered, never try to charge for visits they never made. Tom is polite, responsive and goes out of his way to help. His crews are always professional and do everything they can to minimise the inconvenience during construction

Mark's Tuckpointing & Remodeling Co Inc

They arrived on Monday and Finished on Tuesday. The old bricks were removed carefully, so they could be reused. The morter used was a perfict color match, so you can bearly tell anything was changed. The new lintels were thicker than the old ones that were removed. Everything was cleaned up after the work was finished. This is the second time we have had work done by Mark's Tuckpointing. We picked them because of the excellent job they did on the building their office is in. The building had been emplty for years. Since the building is near our home, we watched as the repair work was done. Now it looks like a clasic Chicago yellow brick store front again. They know how to repair brick buildings without loosing the buildings original character

excellent, when problems arose with the old sink and the weight of the tile on the countertop, they reinforced the cabinet walls for just the cost of materials. Even with the extra repairs they still finished the job ahead of schedule, and on budget. The workers were very friendly and professional, and were quick to answer any questions that I had. I am having them come back in the spring to build a flagstone patio and firepit in my back yard

Mr. Townsend contacted me in a timely manner and adjusted his schedule to meet the tight time constraints we are under with our purchase contract. He examined the exterior and interior of the basement and went through exactly what would need to be done. He was a pleasure to work with and if we are able to reach an agreement on the home we will be contacting him to do the work

Dennis Robinson Masonary

I left on a Friday night, gave Dennis my key to fix some major basement damage. (The of the few business men I would trust with my key). Came home to every bit of damage fixed and cleaned, to which I couldn't believe he did all of that in one (must have been long) day's work. I get to the front of my house and a few pieces of stone that were just a little bit loose in my walk way are all fixed and looking as good as they did 30 years ago when I bought this house. Dennis is a good guy and an artist of a Mason. You can't get a better combination; I wish every contractor I used was half this fair and skilled

Excellent job! They were able to match the new brick perfectly to the existing house brick which was 30 yrs old. You can't tell the difference. The workers are more like artists and definitely take pride in their workmanship and abilities. They showed me exactly what they planned to do and explained why. They showed me the end results and assured my satisfaction before acknowledging the job was finished. I wish I had more masonry work so I could work with them again

Zielinski Masonry & Construction Inc

For years, we had water coming into our chimney and downdrafts every time we built a fire. We didn't really know why this was happening, so we called three different companies to come look at our chimney. It turns out that the chimney crown was crumbling and that the chimney was actually built too short. After getting three estimates, we chose Zielinski Masonry. They were very responsive and performed the work quickly and the job looks great. I was surprised and pleased with the care they took protecting my windows, yard ornaments, and deck. I didn't even think about these things and when I came home, everything was covered or moved. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company

"I'm very pleased. I had concerns about dust and fumes from the epoxy. The dust was minimal and fumes were not an issue at all. If I had to do it all over again, I'd set up a box fan with filters, as I've seen on YouTube, but even without that, the dust was not overwhelming. The workers arrived on time, explained what they were going to do and welcomed my checking in on them. When they went to lunch, they cleaned up their work area, (even put the toilet seat down in the basement bathroom), something I didn't expect at all. I had questions when they were at lunch, and the salesman got the answers I needed quickly. A couple of things I would change about this process: 1. After they were done, cleaned the area for the day, and put their equipment away, one of the workers invited me downstairs to approve their work. If I had not approved, it was a bit late for me to object as they were packed and ready to go. I suggest in the future the homeowner be asked for their approval before everything's packed up. Their work looked good, but this seemed like a manipulative tactic that wasn't appreciated. 2. The more experienced of the two workers explained early on that he needed to remove some insulation but assured me he'd put it back when he was done. When I saw that he'd not put it back, I mentioned it. He refused to put it back, saying "It doesn't matter". It was an odd way to end a perfect job up to that point. I was totally pleased with how everything was handled, and then that comment and behavior from him just put a bad taste in my mouth. That evening or the next day, I received a very nice gift from the company that was just a really nice touch. A couple of weeks later, we had heavy rains and I experienced water along the walls where the work was done. Within a week of me raising the concern, an arrangement for a technician to visit my home was made. I appreciate their prompt attention to the matter. I expect it's very simple like needing more epoxy at the base of the straps, so I decided to go ahead and submit this review. It's difficult to find trustworthy people to do work in your home. I'm very relieved I found a company that is totally worthy of that trust and highly recommend Acculevel. The work they did looks good and solid.

"Expert House Movers brought a crew of 6-8 & came in late August 2013 to start the process of raising & moving the house. My husband had done all the prep work of disconnecting the utilities & removing the furnace, etc. They dug access ramps to the old foundation/basement with bobcats. They poked good sized holes around the foundation so they could put in steel beams and jack up the house. Our foundation was from 1917 & built from old creek gravel cement, so it was pretty tough. It took three & half days to jack the house & move it over the driveway. It seemed really fast to me. The only thing to fall in the house was a picture off the piano. We still had access to the house through a tall ladder to get clothes, etc. that we needed.
We took over the process of arranging excavation, concrete pouring, and carpenters with more local contractors. Expert does have concrete people & others they use in the St Louis area that know exactly the requirements needed for the new foundation.
After the basement was poured & cured (curing takes about 3-4 weeks), Expert returned in October 2013 to move & set the house. They had been in contact with the concrete man for specifications, but there were no slots for the beams when setting the house down. A concrete worker had to come & cut those slots. We had a carpenter on hand to finish the sill installment & make sure the sills for the permanent beams was correct & set the support posts in the basement. We also had a friend's tractor help Expert's bobcat pull the house back over the foundation. While all this was going on, Expert was jacking and moving supports & placing slider beams & raising & lowering the house. The process was complete in about 2 1/2 days with care & precision. Some of the cracks in our house even disappeared. Great job guys.
Our carpenters returned to build a staircase & some other requirements. We are working on re-connecting utilities & returning the furnace, water heater, etc. to the new basement. We plan to move back into the house in the first week or so in November 2013. It's been a long process, but well worth it. Made possible by Expert House Movers!
