"I needed the skirting to be reattached to my mobile home. Handy Abe told me to find all piece that had gotten ripped off by the wind and save them. I went outside and figured out how to reattach them and was able to complete the project with my son. It would have been a little costly had I not found all the pieces. Handy Abe kept in touch with me to make sure everything was okay. I really appreciate that. If I need any other work I definitely will keep him in mind."

Small jobs welcome

"Landon was my handyman. He did such a wonderful job on my pantry door and my laundry door. He repaired them both. He was very professional and I would definitely recommend him to do more jobs."

When I started to practice this job. I didn’t realize the help I was giving to our boss and to the home or apartment that we were working on. To know that one day someone was going to go live there. Know every time I help a costumer I do realize that with my hard work I can achieve making somebody happy. That’s my goal in life.

Drywall questions, answered by experts

If you plan on heating your garage, you must install a vapor barrier when drywalling the garage. A vapor barrier protects your garage from frost and mold that can occur through condensation. If your garage is unheated, you don't need to install a vapor barrier. The only exception is if you regularly crank the heat in your car before getting in it. In this case, you may still want to install a vapor barrier, as your car can heat your garage.

Whether you can reuse a drywall anchor depends on its type, material, and how it is removed. Plastic anchors, such as expansion or self-drilling types, are generally considered single-use because they are designed to expand and are likely to break or become deformed upon removal. Metal anchors, like toggle bolts, are more durable and can often be reused if they are not damaged during extraction. However, with toggle bolts, the toggle mechanism can fall inside the wall when the bolt is removed, making it difficult to retrieve. If an anchor is damaged or must be cut for removal, it cannot be reused regardless of its material.

If you want to reduce sound transmission throughout your home, soundproofing drywall is a better choice than standard drywall. However, simply installing soundproofing drywall may not completely block out noise. You’ll get the best results from incorporating it into a larger soundproofing plan that includes proper insulation and framing studs.

While you can put new drywall over old drywall, it’s not always the best option. In some cases, drywalling over drywall can make it harder to find wires and pipes behind your walls and conceal more serious problems with your walls. It can also make the room smaller. On the plus side, putting drywall over drywall can improve soundproofing and insulation. Plus, it’s often less expensive than tearing down and adding new drywall.

While fumigation chemicals cannot pass through solid objects, they will seep into any openings in walls, doors, or other closed spaces. This allows them to get into tight places where pests may be hiding and causing damage, like termites ruining the foundation of your home. It also means that your home needs to ventilate for 48 hours before returning to ensure that no harmful chemicals remain in your space.
