His assistant installed a high-quality chimney cap with a lifetime warranty. We are very happy to have that taken care of to guard against rodents, etc., getting in the house through the chimney. Although the assistant threw the old chimney cap in the yard and left it there, we are overall extremely pleased with A1 Chimney. "These guys are very professional and knowledgeable. They explained everything in detail and made me feel confident that they thoroughly understand everything about fireplaces, chimneys and airflow. They gave me a number of remedies for potential problems inside the chimney and told me to heat the chimney first before adding the logs. They gave me some written info on potential repairs, explained in detail. They took photos all the way thru the process and showed me before and after inside and out. Rob seemed knowledgeable and personable even the first time he showed up for the initial evaluation and quote. Once he started the job, Rob sealed all the cracks and after a couple days when the cement had cured, he was able to install the gas logs. Rob even returned to fix the way the fire displayed through the logs when we indicated that we were not initially satisfied. He made it right.
