Jeff at Master Plumbing is fantastic! Our main drain line was flooded, and it overflowed all over the place. We tried to unclog it ourselves, but the flooding recurred every time we used the sink or toilet. The issue affected the toilets, sinks, laundry room, shower, and tub. Nothing could be used until the issue was resolved. It was an emergency nightmare, and Jeff saved the night! He came late, which we appreciate so much. It was a very scary situation. We also learned from Jeff that the cat poop with litter residue was the culprit which caused the mainline clog. If you have cats, then you understand it's a common practice. So we have completely stopped that practice. Now we have little garbage cans near the litter to hold the poop. Jeff explained it like this: when the particles of litter scooped up that are stuck to the waste and then flushed, the sand expands and doesn't go anywhere. It just clogs the drain. Also, those liquid dissolvers work on hair and paper, but they don't dissolve sand. Note: in the past, when we had two cats, we never encountered this problem, but now we have four cats. However, we'll never do it again. So if you're a cat person, heed our warning! We learned a great lifelong lesson from this experience. Thank you, Jeff; you are an angel! Master Plumbing is our go-to forever, which we completely trust and highly recommend to everyone in Ada County

  • NAMPA SEPTIC & PLUMBING SVC
    5.0
Nampa Septic was a delight (or, at least as much as dealing with poop can BE a delight!). It's a family owned and operated business that's been around in the Treasure Valley for decades. From the first phone call (a REAL PERSON answered, and she was very friendly and helpful) to scheduling within our time frame, to arriving on time, completing the job quickly and effectively, and charging exactly what they said they would, each step in the process was smooth and trouble free. I unhesitatingly give them my highest recommendation! 5/5 Stars

We've had them out several times. They do a really good job. The work was very thorough. They are very responsible and they are reasonable. It takes a day or two to finish the job. The workers are quite good, knowledgeable. The clean up after themselves.

  • CANYON SEPTIC SVC
    5.0
Sunday evening our house drain plugged and water backed up. I was able to determine there was an issue with our septic tank (there was standing water in the exterior 'clean-out). Monday morning I called two septic tank service companies. One from Angie's List another from neighbor references. I called the provider from Angie's first, left a voice mail and waited approximately one hour for a return call. After one hour I called Canyon Septic Services. Canyon Septic was referred to me by a neighbor and also has positive Google reviews. Canyon Septic's owner, Perry, answered my call. I explained my problem to him. He was upbeat, understanding and communicated to me he could and 'would' reprioritize his established schedule for the same day based on my urgent need. When Perry arrived he got right to work. He had contacted Canyon County Building Department and researched where my tank was installed. He probed the ground and found two corners. He dug, exposed and removed the lid from the tank. I had never seen the inside of a full septic tank before. I am comfortable doing most homeowner handyman jobs. Water heaters, faucets, toilets, electrical, etc. I hate paying for labor. As such, I constantly was asking Perry questions so as to increase my knowledge. He patiently answered each question thoroughly. To my untrained eye the tank looked completely full and totally plugged. I asked him to give me an assessment of the present condition of my three year old tank/system. Perry used several tool of his trade to measure various levels and types of 'stuff' in the tank. The drain water had backed up in our house due to someone flushing several paper towels down a toilet, apparently. Perry, dislodged the paper towel plug from the inlet and communicated to me in his opinion, the tank was 60-70% full and pumping wasn't 'necessary'. Perry asked me what additional service(s), if any, I wanted. In researching septic tank preventive maintenance on the internet just about every website recommends having a septic tank serviced (pumped and inspected) every 3-5 years. I asked Perry about the 3-5 years and he said without pause, absolutely. I opted to pump the tank as it was within the service window and I already had a 3' x 3' hole in my yard with the tank opening exposed. Perry phoned his pump truck driver and the tank was pumped. Perry arrived at my property at 3:30 pm and the pump truck left my property at 5:15 pm. Awesome, awesome service. Perry wasn't pushy about anything, ever. He worked quickly, answered questions, communicated observations and even suggested a tank modification to improve reliability. He sold me the ABS/PVC parts at his cost as the modification was well within my handyman abilities. As of this writing, 24 hours later I still haven't received a call back from the Angie's List service provider I called prior to contacting Canyon Septic. (Express). Canyon Septic will be who I call for septic related services. I received the best service I could have hoped for. Perry is 'good people'

  • A la Carte Property Services LLC
    5.0
A la Carte has always done an excellent job! They are quick to respond, competitive on cost, and I've always been pleased with the work. The owner is always willing to offer suggestions that will make the project less expensive or better than I envisioned. A la Carte is my go to company when I have a problem with my own home or when a renter calls to report a problem. As a landlord, it is SO nice to have a go to company that can handle anything and everything I throw at them. There have been times when we have been out of town and a renter has called with a problem and I've been able to pass it off to A la Carte with complete confidence that it will be fixed. If they can't do it, they will be able to refer you to someone who can that is also honest and reliable. I've recommended them to many friends and family (my parents live 3 hours away and hired them to come remodel a bathroom because they were that much better than the options they had available locally!

It went great. They showed up on time, were polite and finished everything fast even though they had to locate the tank and dig themselves.

  • ABC Septic Service, Inc.
    5.0
I called hoping for an appointment in the next couple of days, since our tank is deep, and we had already gone to the great trouble of finding the lid. I didn't want a deep open hole in the front yard for a long time. I explained this, and the woman making appointments was very accommodating. She said she'd try to work us in that very day and would call if and when a truck could make it out. And one came that very day! It was a relief to have that over and done with - and no more safety hazard out front. I had called two other agencies that didn't have openings until the following week. One would have been $20 cheaper with the lid uncovered, and the other would have been a dollar more. So ABC was very competitive in price and won the day with speedy accommodation. The technician who came was professional and friendly

  • Perfect Plumbing, Heating and Air
    5.0
A1 Plumbing is very competent and professional. The start date of the job was slightly delayed because their pump truck was being serviced, but once scheduled they arrived exactly when they said they would despite a snowstorm. Our septic tank had never before been pumped and we didn't know the exact location of the access port, which turned out to be buried under a section of lawn approximately where we thought it must be. To determine the exact location, A1 had to send for additional equipment and crew; they had let me know in advance that this might be the case. The entire job, start to finish, took about 4 hours. Once located, A1 carefully and neatly excavated the access port by hand and presented us with several options for making it easier (less expensive) to locate the access port in the future

  • Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup
    5.0
I called Roto-Rooter mid-afternoon and although this wasn't an emergency, Joshua was sent to my house immediately. I told him my husband had handled the installation of our septic system and I didn't know much about it. He patiently and clearly explained the parts of the system and how it worked. He also advised me on how often to have the tank pumped. The job was completed quickly and efficiently and at a reasonable price. The regular cost for my size tank is $335, but Roto-Rooter offered a spring special of $40 off! Joshua was personable and polite. He is a great representative of his company
