- Express Plumbing Heating & AirEverything went great. We had a hard time locating the septic tank because we had never pumped it before and the map provided by southwest district was too old. They came out with a locator ball and followed it electronically from the toilet all the way to the septic tank. Once it was found the very friendly gentleman offered to dig to expose the septic lid for a minimal fee. Once it was dug up he pumped out the sewage, did full visual inspection of the tank and baffle, cleaned it out real good, and put it all back together. The start date of the job was slightly delayed because their pump truck was being serviced, but once scheduled they arrived exactly when they said they would despite a snowstorm. Our septic tank had never before been pumped and we didn't know the exact location of the access port, which turned out to be buried under a section of lawn approximately where we thought it must be. To determine the exact location, A1 had to send for additional equipment and crew; they had let me know in advance that this might be the case. The entire job, start to finish, took about 4 hours. Once located, A1 carefully and neatly excavated the access port by hand and presented us with several options for making it easier (less expensive) to locate the access port in the future
