NAMPA SEPTIC & PLUMBING SVC

This was a great experience. Betty was very helpful on the phone answering several questions that I had. They performed the inspection in a timely manner and provided me with the information I needed in order to proceed with the sale of the house. It was less expensive then I expected, which is always a nice bonus! They are now on my list of preferred companies to deal with

It went great. They showed up on time, were polite and finished everything fast even though they had to locate the tank and dig themselves.

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Appreciated the punctuality, and the fact that he recommended we did not need to have the second tank pumped (for a small cottage, with only my mother in residence). Really nice to encounter that level of integrity! Makes using this company regularly, for all related service - and recommending them to others - a no-brainer

Bulldog Excavation

Excellent. Phil assessed our problem, gave good advice, and gave us an estimate. We agreed. He arranged for all the necessary permits and inspections. He began excavating promptly and stayed on the job until it was finished and passed inspection. He was thorough in post work cleanup. He worked in a difficult situation where we had very limited space. He is very skillful and careful in the use of his backhoe, and caused no unnecessary disruption to our plantings. He did all the work personally - no unskilled helpers. It was a difficult job, but he completed it in about 5 working days

ABC Septic Service, Inc.

I called hoping for an appointment in the next couple of days, since our tank is deep, and we had already gone to the great trouble of finding the lid. I didn't want a deep open hole in the front yard for a long time. I explained this, and the woman making appointments was very accommodating. She said she'd try to work us in that very day and would call if and when a truck could make it out. And one came that very day! It was a relief to have that over and done with - and no more safety hazard out front. I had called two other agencies that didn't have openings until the following week. One would have been $20 cheaper with the lid uncovered, and the other would have been a dollar more. So ABC was very competitive in price and won the day with speedy accommodation. The technician who came was professional and friendly

Bivin's Excavating Inc

Bob was very pleasing and professional to work with. I have learned that there are quite a few scammers and flakey people in this industry. I highly recommend calling Bob if you need your drain field replaced. I also learned that no one will put your yard back together after the job. This was somewhat disappointing. Bob will grade the dirt flat but its up to the home owner to fix sprinklers and replant. I guess that's just the industry. Job was complete in 3 days

Express Plumbing Heating & Air

Everything went great. We had a hard time locating the septic tank because we had never pumped it before and the map provided by southwest district was too old. They came out with a locator ball and followed it electronically from the toilet all the way to the septic tank. Once it was found the very friendly gentleman offered to dig to expose the septic lid for a minimal fee. Once it was dug up he pumped out the sewage, did full visual inspection of the tank and baffle, cleaned it out real good, and put it all back together. He explained everything step by step so there weren't any surprises along the way. Very professional and courteous and would recommend them to anyone

"It was a challenging install because the space was so tight and the water and drain lines difficult to access. Jeb at Express Plumbing had to install a new supply line and adapt the drain line to the new unit. He also installed an access panel so that the water could be shut off to the unit in the future if necessary. Upon testing, the dishwasher did not leak at that time; however, Jeb had to come out a second time because the drain line became kinked and the dishwasher would not drain. He was able to shorten the drain hose and loop it so that it drained properly. There was no charge for this follow up repair. Dishwasher is working fine now. Jeb was very professional and thorough. Thank you Express Plumbing!

"Sunday evening our house drain plugged and water backed up. I was able to determine there was an issue with our septic tank (there was standing water in the exterior 'clean-out). Monday morning I called two septic tank service companies. One from Angie's List another from neighbor references. I called the provider from Angie's first, left a voice mail and waited approximately one hour for a return call. After one hour I called Canyon Septic Services. Canyon Septic was referred to me by a neighbor and also has positive Google reviews. Canyon Septic's owner, Perry, answered my call. I explained my problem to him. He was upbeat, understanding and communicated to me he could and 'would' reprioritize his established schedule for the same day based on my urgent need. When Perry arrived he got right to work. He had contacted Canyon County Building Department and researched where my tank was installed. He probed the ground and found two corners. He dug, exposed and removed the lid from the tank. I had never seen the inside of a full septic tank before. I am comfortable doing most homeowner handyman jobs. Water heaters, faucets, toilets, electrical, etc. I hate paying for labor. As such, I constantly was asking Perry questions so as to increase my knowledge. He patiently answered each question thoroughly. To my untrained eye the tank looked completely full and totally plugged. I asked him to give me an assessment of the present condition of my three year old tank/system. Perry used several tool of his trade to measure various levels and types of 'stuff' in the tank. The drain water had backed up in our house due to someone flushing several paper towels down a toilet, apparently. Perry, dislodged the paper towel plug from the inlet and communicated to me in his opinion, the tank was 60-70% full and pumping wasn't 'necessary'. Perry asked me what additional service(s), if any, I wanted. In researching septic tank preventive maintenance on the internet just about every website recommends having a septic tank serviced (pumped and inspected) every 3-5 years. I asked Perry about the 3-5 years and he said without pause, absolutely. I opted to pump the tank as it was within the service window and I already had a 3' x 3' hole in my yard with the tank opening exposed. Perry phoned his pump truck driver and the tank was pumped. Perry arrived at my property at 3:30 pm and the pump truck left my property at 5:15 pm. Awesome, awesome service. Perry wasn't pushy about anything, ever. He worked quickly, answered questions, communicated observations and even suggested a tank modification to improve reliability. He sold me the ABS/PVC parts at his cost as the modification was well within my handyman abilities. As of this writing, 24 hours later I still haven't received a call back from the Angie's List service provider I called prior to contacting Canyon Septic. (Express). Canyon Septic will be who I call for septic related services. I received the best service I could have hoped for. Perry is 'good people'!

A small septic tank system is ideal for spaces with minimal needs, such as a one-to-two-bedroom apartment or guest house. A small septic tank contains 750 or 1,000 gallons. We’ll cover everything that factors into your small septic system cost here.
Whether you’ve had a septic tank for years or it’s your first one, you need to know how to live with one. This guide covers septic tank maintenance for a long-lasting system.
Answer: There are several signs that indicate your septic tank could be full. These include standing water over your septic tank, a strong odor coming from your yard, gurgling water, slow drains, or a sewage backup. While many of these signs could also be indicative of a clogged system, they should all be checked out by a professional ASAP to avoid costly damages. In the absence of any of these signs, it’s recommended that septic tanks be emptied every 3 to 5 years on average.
How often should a septic tank be serviced?
Answer: On average, septic tanks should be serviced every 3 to 5 years in the absence of any worrying signs that the tank is clogged or full. The size of your septic tank, the number of people living in your home, and your average water usage will all impact how often your septic tank needs to be serviced.
What are the most common causes of septic tank failure?
Answer: The most common cause of septic tank failure is improper maintenance. Failing to pump a septic tank on the appropriate schedule will cause septic tank failure and likely result in a costly septic tank repair or replacement. On average, septic tanks should be pumped every 3 to 5 years, but the size of your tank, the number of people in your home, and your average water usage may shorten or extend this timeframe.
How much does it cost to pump a septic tank?
Answer: The cost to pump a septic tank is $400 on average or about $0.30 per gallon. The size of your septic tank, as well as local labor costs, will impact the cost of pumping your septic tank. Most septic tanks are between 600 and 2,000 gallons in size, meaning the average cost range is between $180 to $600.
How much does it cost to install a septic system?
Answer: The cost to install a septic tank system is between $3,060 and $9,810, on average. The size of the septic tank you choose, the land you’re installing it on, the type of system you choose, and local labor costs will all influence the total cost of installing a septic system. Anaerobic septic tanks (those that don’t need oxygen) typically cost between $3,000 and $8,000. Aerobic systems, which utilize oxygen to activate bacteria and are popular on smaller properties, usually cost between $10,000 and $20,000.
How long does a septic system last?
Answer: When septic systems are well maintained, they can last up to 30 years or more. If a septic system isn’t properly maintained, such as when it isn’t pumped regularly, it may malfunction and require costly repairs or a premature replacement. In general, septic tank pumping is recommended every 3 to 5 years to ensure the septic system lasts as long as possible.
