No, you cannot throw branches from your neighbor’s tree back into their yard, nor can you discard leaves or other plant matter that originated from their yard back over there if it happens to land in your yard. You are responsible for cleaning up plant matter that made its way into your yard.

The speed of your tree root removal process depends on a few different factors, including the size and type of tree. However, the fastest method of killing tree roots is applying chemical herbicide, which starts working quickly and efficiently. But this removal method has its drawbacks, such as having a negative effect on the surrounding vegetation and landscaping. Other options like rock salt and stump grinding work relatively quickly and cause less damage to your yard.

If it’s your property, then you can plant a tree near power lines, but it’s not the best idea. However, the best time to plant a tree ultimately depends on when the weather transitions to fall-like conditions and eventually winter frost. As long as the hottest days of summer have passed and the ground hasn’t frozen yet, you can still successfully plant trees.
