"I can't thank the guys enough for coming to the rescue. I started a toilet repair that should have been fairly easy, however….. So after realizing the job was too big for me I turned to Angi's list and they connected me to Garner Plumbing. They showed up that afternoon and had the job fixed within a half an hour or just a little more. I feel very confident in the work they did and they were very nice to work with. Would definitely recommend them to anyone needing plumbing service and the Jefferson, Athens, Winder area ."

"Itâ s never a good thing to have a plumbing issue, especially when it happens on the weekend! One call to After Hours Plumbing was all it took. They quoted me a very reasonable rate (hundreds of dollars less than anywhere else I called), were very professional and prompt, and did an excellent job. I have needed them several times over the past few years, and they are my heroes! You will not regret choosing After Hours Plumbing. They are the best!"

"The installers were very courteous and professional. It wasnâ t completed in one day because they found a drain issue that they wanted the plumbing inspector to address before completing the installation. The project turned out perfect and was a dream come true. Thank you Kyle, Justin, Darrell, and the plumbing inspector for a job well done."

"They did a great job with replacing my tub with a stand up shower, and replacing my bathroom floor. Jim was on point with what was available and they could perform, Devin was on point with sales end, getting order and making arrangements for install. Problem was, beyond that there was no communication when needed, a few issues developed and I was unable to get needed answers. Fortunately, I was able to reach out to Devin and he was able to get answers, and get needed task completed. Outside communication block, I am very happy with work completed!!"

"We had planned a total kitchen renovation and then had a plumbing leak so both these projects had to be completed as one project, and MWR did an excellent job in working with us to complete the work we wanted done. Of course there were decisions that had to be made along the way and MWR quickly supported the decisions we made so that the combined project could continue. MWR has done several projects at our home and they have all been completed with excellent quality."

"My installer John was fantastic. He did an amazing job and I am so pleased with his attention to detail and the way it all turned out. With my home being almost 100 years old nothing is plum or square. He was so caring and took his time and it came out beautifully. I am so glad John was my installer he is amazing."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Adding another bathroom isn’t the most complicated project you can undertake, but it’s in the top 5%. Anything involving plumbing and electrical work should be handed off to a pro, and adding a half bath involves both. A contractor may charge $70 to $120 an hour for labor, but chances are they can work much faster and more accurately than a DIYer.

If there's no water coming out of the spigot, or barely any water, you might have a clogged water line. Areas with hard water are prone to this problem because the high mineral content in hard water causes build-up in pipes and water lines. This constricts the water flow and causes water to slowly trickle out, if at all.

If your sink is on an exterior wall that isn’t insulated, or if pipes travel through a cabinet against an exterior wall that prevents heated air from circulating around the pipes, the pipes can freeze, causing them to burst. The best way to avoid leaking sinks is to insulate the pipes and open cabinets in the short term to warm the water line up and prevent freezing.

The most common way to connect water to new land is to connect the property to the nearest public water supply by trenching new water lines. If public water is not available at your property, the safest way to access water for your home's plumbing is to have a well drilled.

Yes, and no. Your shower, toilet, and sink all connect to the same main drain, but the secondary drains going from each fixture to the main drain are usually separate. This isn’t always the case—especially in older homes—but since toilets contain black water and showers, tubs, and sinks have grey water, toilets are more regulated and come at a greater risk of contamination. It’s best to keep these drains separate using individual waste collection for this reason.
