"After over two years of issues with our Heat&Glo fireplace resulting in 4 visits and $1000+ in service charges and replaced parts we are still left with a fireplace that randomly cuts off and on. The last response from this group was to blame the issue on the overall gas supply but after having the gas company check every line pressure and connection twice it is obvious that the issue is the lack of experience this group has with existing fireplaces. They are more than happy to sell you a new system but are out of their league when it comes to servicing a unit outside of a simple cleaning. Since they tried chasing the issue by randomly replacing parts (that did not fix the issue) we are back to square one and are now looking for another company to service the system. Lesson learned the hard way - stay away from this company."

If you plan to remove a gas line and cap it completely, you’ll need to apply and pay for one through your town or city. Depending on your region and its local codes, you may pay between $25 and $100. Not all gas fireplaces need a chimney. Renovation projects that require moving a gas-powered appliance may also require moving the gas line that supplies it. The best way to reset this valve is to contact your utility provider to do so safely. If the pipes are damaged and you reset the valve anyway, it could lead to a gas leak.
