Metro House of Fire

After over two years of issues with our Heat&Glo fireplace resulting in 4 visits and $1000+ in service charges and replaced parts we are still left with a fireplace that randomly cuts off and on. The last response from this group was to blame the issue on the overall gas supply but after having the gas company check every line pressure and connection twice it is obvious that the issue is the lack of experience this group has with existing fireplaces. They are more than happy to sell you a new system but are out of their league when it comes to servicing a unit outside of a simple cleaning. Since they tried chasing the issue by randomly replacing parts (that did not fix the issue) we are back to square one and are now looking for another company to service the system. Lesson learned the hard way - stay away from this company.

Last spring another chimney repair company told us we had significant damage due to a chimney fire in 2009 and we should not use our fireplace again until it was repaired... to the tune of $3,200!!Although we called them back and said we wanted to make the repairs and after several promises to call back, we never heard from them again. We went to Home Adviser and found Metro House of Fire. They came out on time, Thomas and his partner were very knowledgeable and friendly and after a very thorough inspection, both by climbing up to look into our extremely high chimney and using their nifty camera, we were told there was NO damage and we could use the fireplace, no problem!! We are sooo glad the first company never called us back. THANK YOU Thomas and Metro House of Fire - we will be in touch when it is time to have the chimney cleaned!

Didn't get the full 5 stars because they said they would be here between 2-4pm. Didn't arrive until after 6pm. They were very courteous, friendly and they fixed the problem quickly. Expensive because it didn't take long to fix the problem. Probably flat race for call out.

It is refreshing to have work done with workers that have pride in their work, show up when they say they will and perform the work at a fair price. Bentley and his coworker were very professional. I would recommend them to anyone needing fireplace work

Had to wait a bit for an appointment, but service man was professional and did a good job. He even helped me clean off the glassside of the fireplace. I am now waiting for a part that needs to be replaced, but the fireplace works!

He kept me updated on his time of arrival. He temporary fixed the fireplace. However when I called him back. He was very slow to tell me what he did. It was like pulling teetjh to find out what he has to do next. He told me he has to order a piece. He could not tell me approximatly how much it would cost. He did not offer to even call me back on how much the cost of the piece that needs to be replaced.
