"C & L Landscape responded quickly to my need to have a fallen tree removed before further damage was done to my neighbors' fences. They removed a fallen tree and stump, repaired the fence damage, replaced the root area with dirt and sod, made sure the dirt was graded for proper drainage, and made sure the sprinkler system worked properly in that area. They also hauled off all debris and cleaned up the driveway nicely. They were prompt, efficient, professional, and very courteous. I found them very thorough and worth every penny! I would definitely hire them again."

"These guys trimmed off several dead branches from a large maple in our front yard. They charged us a fair price, expertly felled several large branches on a tight space, and cleaned up great afterward. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone needing some tree work done."

"Hired SBC a few weeks ago. Had them cut down a 50yr old live oak and trim up 6-7 other tall trees. These guys showed up to work. We were very impressed with their work ethic, their team work, and the amount of cleaning up they did. The end result was amazing. We will recommend them as well as use them again. Thank you all for a fantastic job for a more than fair price."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Sudden oak death and oak wilt are different diseases. Oak wilt first shows up in tree leaves while sudden oak death affects the branches and trunk. However, as symptoms in both can overlap, it’s best to consult a professional arborist tree expert for a proper diagnosis and development of a treatment plan.

It depends on where you live—but in most areas, leaves begin falling in September and continue falling until January or February. Warmer regions, such as Southern states, may see leaves fall a bit later in the calendar year. It also depends on the type of trees in your yard and their maturity.

Yes, you can hire professionals to move a tree. Arborists and tree transplanting companies specialize in this type of work and use equipment like hydraulic tree spades to safely extract and relocate trees with their root balls intact. Since tree moving is a complex process, especially for larger trees, it’s best left to experts who understand how to protect the tree’s health and ensure the safety of everyone involved.

Trees provide many benefits, including shade, habitat for local wildlife, and cleaner air, so it’s always a good idea to try an alternative strategy like crown reduction before you chop one down. But sometimes, cutting down a tree is the only option (like if it’s severely diseased). A licensed arborist can assess the tree and recommend the best course of action.

Cutting down a tree next to power lines is never a DIY job, and it’s a good idea to contact your utility company first. In most cases, the utility company will need to take care of any tree problems within 10 to 15 feet of power lines. If you want to remove the tree for aesthetic reasons, hire a pro to do the job. Trying to cut trees near power lines yourself can create many safety hazards, and you could be liable if you inadvertently cause damage to electrical equipment.
