"Ken has an eye for detail and he was able to articulate repairs need to keep your unit running for the long term. His work leaves no stone left unturned and his repair recommendations are based on integrity. I was very happy with the maintenance work and the additional repair that was required. I plan to have him back for because he gave me a fair price on a UV light and air purifier."

"The technicians showed up on time. They were very polite. They found the problem and needed to order a part so they return on another day. Again, they were on time and polite. They worked to fix the problem, found an additional problem and were able to fix that as well. I thought they did a great job for a reasonable fee. I would use them again."

"Unit wasn’t cooling so I called the company, who came out within hours. My system wasn’t able to fixed that night so they left me a portable unit, which I’ve never had done before. And they returned the next morning with the needed part. Overall I had a great experience and would recommend."

"A couple of weeks ago, my parents' air conditioner broke down, and their usual AC company told them they needed a new unit, even though it was only a few years old. Thankfully, we reached out to Jimmy, the owner of Aim Service Group. Not only did Jimmy take the time to personally come down all the way from Tampa, but he also managed to fix the AC without the need for a costly replacement. Aim Service Group is truly a trustworthy, honest, and timely company. We are incredibly grateful for their help. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of reliable AC service! Thank you, Jimmy, and the entire Aim Service Group team!"

Humidifier Repair questions, answered by experts

NATE-certified technicians may charge slightly higher service fees compared to non-certified technicians. This is because NATE certification signifies a higher level of expertise and professionalism, often leading to more efficient and effective HVAC repairs and installations. While the upfront cost may be marginally higher, NATE-certified technicians can potentially save you money in the long run by reducing energy consumption, preventing frequent breakdowns, and extending the life span of your HVAC system. When looking for a local HVAC company to hire, it never hurts to ask about NATE certifications.

Ideal humidity conditions generally range from 30% to 50%, with 45% considered optimal humidity for most homes. If your humidity levels drop below that range, you can turn your dehumidifier off. Additionally, suppose the temperature where the dehumidifier is installed falls below 60 degrees Fahrenheit. In that case, it's best to turn it off and unplug it since cooler temperatures can cause the unit's coils to freeze.

Most HVAC service calls include diagnostic fees, which could include checking on a specific issue you’re experiencing or running through a routine inspection checklist. If you called for a particular problem, the service call will also include an estimate to fix the issue, including materials and labor. Depending on your HVAC technician and the service you requested, you might also get a general inspection of your system components to ensure everything is working as intended.

For certain repairs, a plumber may be able to help fix a humidifier, but HVAC technicians are typically the go-to professionals. The most common humidifier repairs that plumbers handle are humidifier water shutoffs, solenoid valve maintenance, and evaporator pad replacement.

While you’re busy swapping out that old compressor, now is a great time to have your furnace cleaned and serviced , especially if your home is older and your heating system is as old as your AC unit. Likewise, it’s a good idea to clean your air ducts to ensure air flows properly through the house.
