"Jeff was awesome. Prompt, courteous, professional and I paid the price he quoted me from the get go. He was way less expensive than any of the other quotes I received from the big corporate plumbers.. Nice family owned business. I'd much rather Gove the business to them than the big corporate plumbers. Did outstanding fast work. was in and out in less than 2.5 hours AND he arrived early. Would definitely hire them for any plumbing needs in the future. Thanks Jeff!!!"

"I went to Farrells office and spoke to Steve Farrell and he said he would get my broken water heater taken care of that someone help me . And within an half hour Trish called me from Farrell Plumbing and told me Adam would be right over. Adam was here within 10 minutes and accessed the problem and within a couple of hours I had a new hot water heater installed. Adam was very professional and knowledgeable about his work. A BIG Thank you to Steve Farrell, Trish ,Adam for rescuing my family from cold showers so quickly. I would recommend them always. Great Company."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

For plumbing in FL, choose materials that resist hard water scaling and corrosion. PEX piping stands out as the best choice for supply lines because it handles temperature swings and resists mineral buildup. Use PVC for underground drain lines to withstand high soil moisture. Avoid direct-burial copper, which corrodes quickly in acidic soils. Consider installing a tankless water heater to prevent the rapid sediment accumulation seen in traditional tanks.

Helpful?

The intense summer rainy season in Trinity saturates the ground, creating high pressure against underground pipes and leading to frequent slab leaks. High year-round humidity accelerates corrosion on exposed metal fittings and outdoor hose bibs. During rare winter freezes, uninsulated exterior pipes burst and cause severe water damage. Always schedule a professional inspection after hurricane season to check for compromised sewer cleanouts and backflow preventers caused by storm surge flooding.

Helpful?

In Trinity, sandy soils and high water tables create shifting ground conditions that complicate underground plumbing repairs. Most homes feature slab-on-grade construction, requiring contractors to tunnel under or break through concrete to reach pipes. Additionally, properties transitioning from septic to sewer systems require extensive coordination. You must also navigate strict homeowners association rules regarding exterior fixture visibility and landscaping restoration.

Helpful?

Skipping annual water heater flushes allows hard water sediment to accumulate rapidly, destroying your appliance. Flushing non-dissolving wipes creates severe blockages in Trinity sewer lines. Running your irrigation system during heavy rain oversaturates the soil, placing immense pressure on underground pipes. Additionally, using harsh chemical drain cleaners causes older pipes to crack. Always disconnect outdoor hoses before winter cold snaps to prevent frozen and burst supply lines.

Helpful?

Functional plumbing work, like replacing a water heater or repairing drain lines, requires formal permits and inspections. Purely cosmetic updates, such as swapping a faucet, bypass these requirements. However, cosmetic flaws in older FL homes hide serious functional problems. Stained drywall or discolored grout indicates an underlying slab leak. Address these hidden leaks immediately to prevent extensive structural damage and complex restoration work.
