"We could have not picked a better company! We are very happy and pleased. Blue Sky Pools is professional and always available, both via e-mail and phone. We love that this is a family owned business and that someone was always present while work was being done. Jen helped us design our dream pool. She came to our house several times to make everything perfect for us. Mike or Ben were always present and answered all our questions and concerns - from construction start to finish. Without hesitation would we build another pool with them!"

"We purchased a swim spa for our Airbnb two years ago. It’s been FANTASTIC! Our guests love it and we have been booked 90% since purchasing. Believe me this spa takes a beating and hasn’t had any problems. Love it! Spa Manufacturers was excellent! We purchased our swim spa via Internet, they gave us time it would be manufactured and delivered. They delivered the day they told us. They also helped us with our questions regarding cement pad and electrical hook up. After it was delivered, we had a snafoo because our electrician wired our electrical outlet wrong. They stayed with us on the phone till we got it all figured out! (Our electricians fault). Couldn’t say more good things about this place or the product!"

Complete swimming pool and deck renovations. Over 20 years experience. Licensed, Insured and bonded. Great reputation. Read some reviews at www.superpages.com

"We did not know much about fiberglass resurfacing but after meeting & speaking with owner Marc Johnson, we opted to hire Johnson Pools to resurface our inground pool. We found Mr. Johnson to be extremely helpful and patient as he personally answered the many questions from my elderly parents. He never kept us waiting to hear back from him which is something we found quite refreshing. Marc also provided videos of the entire process because he wanted us to be completely cognizant and comfortable of their process before making our decision to hire his company. The Johnson Pool team did a traffic job prepping our pool for resurfacing. They were polite and very careful not to disturb our manicured lawn & landscaping which was something we were concerned about. The end result was a pool that looked absolutely beautiful and inviting, just as Mr. Johnson had promised. In all, we found Mr. Johnson to be a man of his word. When he said he would call us back, he immediately called back. When he said he would meet us at a specific time, he was here on time. When we asked for recommendations on other services and supplies, Marc provided links to the sites he recommended. I would highly recommend Johnson Pools to anyone looking for a company that goes above and beyond with personal service, integrity and high quality work."

"Landmark Pools removed my old pool and installed a new one in 2021-2022 for over $100K. The final product was awesome and worth the 16 months it took them to finish the project (after an initial estimate of 12-14 weeks). In March I noticed that I was having to add water to the pool every few days. When the March water bill arrived it showed my water usage had more than doubled. I contacted Landmark in early April to report the possible leak, didn’t hear back. Several days later I contacted them again and was told they would check with the tech and get back, they didn’t. I contacted them the following week and was told the leak detection company would be out the following week (2 weeks after the initial call). The detection guy dove the pool and couldn’t find any leaks. He set up a bucket test to determine the rate of leakage, turned off the pump system and said he’d be back in a couple days. A week later I contacted Landmark to find out what was going on. I was told the detection company couldn’t find the leak so apparently they dropped the issue. I sent them photos of the bucket test showing a 1-inch loss of water per day. On May 1st I called Landmark and asked to speak to the GM about my concerns and frustration. The person I spoke with (Jennifer) was very nice and sympathetic but didn’t let me speak to the GM. The detection company finally came back and said they found the leak in the main drain. Next day, still leaking an inch a day. Over a week later the detection company dove the pool again and claimed the leak was in a light. Next day, down an inch. I called Jennifer again demanding a different leak person. Evan from Landmark came by a couple days later and did his own leak test which confirmed my inch a day claim. After two dives he located the leak in the handrail into the pool and finally got it stopped on May 25th, confirmed by another leak test.. By that time I had 3 months of excessive water bills (over $300 total) and had put more in than 250 pounds of salt in the pool to cover the water loss. On June 7th and 9th (more than 2 months after the initial call) I contacted Landmark to talk to the GM about reimbursement for the expenses. I was denied access to the GM, Bart O’Connell, who refused to even discuss it with me. His refusal to talk just reinforced the attitude I got from everyone at Landmark, except Evan who was great and professional. Needless to say I tell anyone who asks that they can do better and find a pool company that will standby their product and not hide from customers."

35 years of experience

Locally owned and operated. Serving the Greater Tampa Bay area for over 24 years, we are your one stop shop for all of your swimming pool, spa and outdoor needs. If it has to do with a pool, deck or patio, we do it. Residential & commercial services.

"These guys are worthless. I have an Airbnb in St Petersburg and every time I would come back to check on the house, I was disappointed in how the pool was taken care of. Every time there was debris in the bottom of the pool as if there was no vacuuming or scrubbing and 0 ppm Clorine reading in the pool 2 days after the service. Watching my ring camera they would spend 10 min at the house to do a "full service". The final straw was when one of my house guest sent me a picture of the pool filter leaking as the pump was running. Clear Tech did thier "full service" the next day and claimed on their report "all equipment running well". I had to have my neighbor fix the issue. Them being the wonderful company they are, they still charged me full price for this "cleaning"."

Pool Construction and Installation questions, answered by experts

If you are installing a fiberglass pool, you may want to install or update your patio or deck at the same time to create a safe, comfortable place to sit and dry off or grab a bite to eat after swimming. You might also consider adding a hot tub to the mix, which costs $6,000 on average.

If you have multiple rooms that could use some organization, home storage solutions like cubbies in your mudroom or built-in shelving can help you move clutter off the floor. Take it one step further by pairing shelves and cabinets with personalized aesthetic touches like woven or canvas lined metal baskets to add another organizational element.

There are many factors to consider when building an in-ground concrete pool. This includes the pool’s primary purpose (relaxation or exercise) if you live in a warm or cold climate (how often it’ll be used), and if you have the budget for chemical treatments and pool maintenance. In-ground pools are often more costly than aboveground pools, but they’re considered more luxurious and hold more value.

Depending on your budget, wants, and needs, a pool enclosure can be a worthwhile investment. It all comes down to how much you use your pool, and what it would mean to you to have year-round access to it.

If you know that you'll swim in your pool a lot, then having an enclosure means you don't have to worry about the weather. It's also a lot easier to maintain the water, because you don't have to deal with leaves falling into the pool, and the water's chemical levels tend to be more stable.

If you live in an area where pool enclosures are expected, like in Florida, having one won't necessarily increase your home value. However, it's worth noting that in warm climates, a pool can add $11,600 to $95,000 to a home's value.

On the other hand, if you're in an area where pool enclosures are not common, having one might set your home apart from the crowd. Depending on the appraiser, you may see an additional $25,000 to $27,000 or more for an enclosed, inground pool when it comes time to sell.
