Work went smooth and as requested

Went quickly and professionally. We hit a few snags along the way with our design (needed to create circular areas at corners to accommodate a large outdoor circular 8-seat table and patio furniture in the opposite corner). Additional product arrived within days (with additional pricing), and installation happened quickly and professionally. The only negatives are 1) workers left numerous cigarette butts in lawn that we are still picking up weeks later, 2) after we asked to have remainder of pavers left, they were still taken away. We are disputing this, and have held out $200 in final payment; 3) They did provide pool cleaning at the end of the installation, but could have been more thorough! Otherwise, based on timing and workmanship, I would definitely hire again.

They had a crew out here for a decent sized area and worked through the rain all day. Everyone there was great and helped us pick out colors. They let us take samples home as well. They were extermely nice and everyone who came out was professional. They did the work in a timely fashion and had the best prices of everyone we checked out.

The initial installation was fine, but we worked with the owner's brother Jeff who was very responsive and professional. Almost immediately after our driveway was done however, we started noticing that there were low spots and that rain would collect on the driveway. We notified Sun Pavers about this and they came out and made a repair. About six months later the repair failed and we were again having issues with the pavers sinking, creating low spots and holding water. Our brand new driveway looked awful!!!! It got very moldy from the water sitting in the low spots. In August 2013 I contacted the company to come out and repair the driveway once again. I was told that they were very busy, and I said no problem I am going away for two weeks, please just have someone call me back so I can schedule an appointment. I received no call. I tried calling them for MONTHS to schedule a call for someone to come out and take a look at the driveway and got no response. I literally tried from August until December to reach someone. Finally I went into their office and was able to make an appointment for the following week for the owner to come out. The meeting did not go very well. He refused at that time to acknowledge the low spots that so clearly exist in the driveway. When I showed him how bad the mold was getting on the pavers because the water is sitting on the low spots, he said that my whole driveway looked that way, that the pavers needed to be washed 1-2 times a year (we had already pressure washed them in September) and he pretty much called me an idiot!!! He left and said he would be back in a few days to take measurements on the driveway to see if it was sinking. That was in early December. It is now mid January and I just got off the phone with the owner. I called them last week to check the status of the measurements and was told that someone would call me back. Never happened. I called them again just now...the owner said our problem is that our grass is higher than the pavers and won't allow for the water drain. Okay, but what about the obvious low spots in the driveway that hold water?!!? I was told by him, and quot;Well yeah, of course your driveway is uneven. The only way to fix that is grade your grass and pay them to re-grade the driveway.and quot; NO THANKS!!!! We had a feeling this was going to happen and have already gotten a second and third opinion about our driveway. In each case we were told there wasn't enough grade underneath the pavers to begin with and they didn't angle the pavers so that water could drain off the side. BUYERand quot;S BEWARE!!!!!!!!! Poor shoddy work done in the first place, non-existent customer service, rude arrogant owner, they don't stand by their work or their warranties....Please if you want your paver work done right and for your sanity stay away from this company and use someone else. I wished we had, now we will have to pay out of pocket to have our whole driveway redone correctly...

I contacted Sun Pavers based on a recommendation from my Mom. The owner came to my house and quoted the project. I was satisfied with the cost, especially in comparison to the two other companies that quoted. The office personnel was also extremely helpful in ensuring effective communication throughout, especially when I had particular questions. The quality of the work was very good; no complaints there.
My glowing views on Sun Pavers changed when the owner came to do a follow up/final inspection. I noted that there could have been more sand in a particular spot and his response was quite rude. He said that if he sent his crew back to my house, they probably wouldn't find it b/c it was so minor. The fact that i paid for a service and there was a lack of willingness to correct the spot, I was a little disappointed. Additionally, I complained that sealant had been sprayed on my children's outdoor toys and patio chairs (even though they were moved away from the area) and the owner replied something to the effect that at least it wasn't the more toxic stuff that was used in the past. Without knowing much about the toxicity of their products, I was worried. The fumes were quite strong and lasted several days.
Overall, the work was good, yet Sun Pavers comes up short in the tact department. I would not use them again, due to owner's arrogance and in general, attitude.

just average but lack professionalism

Sun pavers came in and built us a 2000 square foot paved patio that is as beautiful as any caribbean island restaurant. They finished the work in the time they said and the quality they promised.

THEY HAD A NICE SELECTION AND WERE HELPFUL WITH THE DESIGN. IT LOOKS BEAUTIFUL. THEY WERE RECOMMENDED BY TWO FAMILIES IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD. BOTH WERE VERY HAPPY.

A 5-DAY PROJECT TURNED INTO A 6 WEEK PROJECT. ASSURANCES OF QUALITY CONTROL, GOOD COMMUNICATION AND RESPONSIVE TO CUSTOMER CONCERNS DID NOT MATERIALIZE AT ALL. THE MUCH TOUTED QUALITY CONTROL PERSON SHOWED UP TWICE, TO COLLECT DOWN PAYMENT AND COMMENCEMENT PAYMENT, AFTER THAT ANY PROBLEM WITH CRAFTMANSHIP AND INSTALLATION CONCERNS WERE HANDLED VIA PHONE W/O PHYSICAL VERIFICATION. WE HAD THE CREW REMOVE A DAY'S WORK OF COPING BECAUSE IT WAS PLAIN RUSHED AND SHODDY WORK AS WELL AS TAKE SOME OF THE FRONT WALK UP BECAUSE IT WAS NOT INSTALLED AS ON THE PLANS. CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS WAS LEFT BLOCKING THE DRIVEWAY FOR ABOUT TWO WEEKS, REPEATED REQUEST TO TAKE CARE OF SOME DETAILS, INCL. DEBRIS REMOVAL, WHILE WAITING FOR REPLACEMENT, PAVERS WERE BRUSHED OFF WITH THE ARGUMENT THAT IT WOULD NOT BE COST EFFECTIVE FOR SUNPAVERS TO COME OUT FOR JUST THAT. THEY CUT A POOL LIGHT WIRE THAT WAS IN PLAIN SIGHT AND TRIED TO WEASEL OUT REPAIRING IT AND SO ON, AND SO ON. YOU GET THE PICTURE.
