I called multiple roofing companies asking for the same service, some did not respond or return my call, others were either too busy and had no availabilities until 2 to 3 wks later and did not commit to any appointment. City Roofing was the only company which answered my call right away and had a maintenance package. Anaiz (repair manager) contacted me in 24 hrs with the quote. From the beginning to the completion of the project and through the changes I made, I was able to easily contact and communicate with Anaiz. She was very friendly, courteous, professional and efficient. Initially it was going to cost $2800.00 to repair the small garage roof. We changed to silicone coating for the same price. It would take 2 days. When I decided to silicone coat the main roof, the initial quote was $6750.00 for the main roof. Steep but I accepted it and scheduled another 2 days the following week. However, shortly after, Anaiz called with a very nice proposal, they would do both roofs in 3 days giving me a discount on the main roof, which now would cost $5975.00. I think that shows professionalism, fairness and honesty of the company. The technicians were all very punctual, polite and professional. Since we were in the middle of Covid-19 pandemic, they all wore masks when communicating with me. They explained the work well and answered all my questions. The work was done on time very well and clean. A few days after the project was completed, Anaiz followed up with an email and before-and-after photos of the roofs. The owners, Candy and Mario Famada also followed up with an email. This is a much appreciated personable and professional touch.- Bich N.

Ember told me a week earlier when he came to assess the damage , that the tiles I have are no longer available in that color. They had to replace a couple tiles and they took the tiime to paint them to look as close as possible to my tiles. Well done. This is the 4th time that I have hired this company (different houses) and I have always been very pleased with the quality of work done and the professionalism of the office staff and job crew. Elmer has done the initial inspection and led the work crew on 3 of those jobs. He is thorough and outstanding in assessing the problem, explaining what needs to be done and fixing it the first time. I contacted three local roofing companies that were highly recommended to quote me having three areas on my fascia repaired. The quotes came back at $1000 with the possibility of up to an additional $400 if they had to replace decking, $2500 and $4000. After getting all the quotes I called back the provider of the cheapest quote to make sure they were quoting the same work, which they assured they were. I don’t always go with the least expensive quote but in this case I thought they understood the roof problem and were more than qualified to do the job well. I’m glad I did. The roofer I went with was Felix Sapienza. They told me they would be out in two weeks to do the job and that’s exactly when they did. The whole crew couldn’t have been more friendly and I learned that Bryan, Felix’s son is my neighbor. They did an excellent job I would highly recommend them anytime. By the way, the bill ended up being $1000 and the decking was all in good shape. How often does that happen that you get a quote with a range and it ends up being the least. Not often these days.

We had a few leaks in our roof and found J&K on Angie's List. Mike came out to give us an estimate and, after talking with him, we felt so good about his knowledge and expertise that we agreed on the spot to accept the estimate and get the work done. Just a few days later we received a call that they were ready to start. We had two valleys and a spot above a window repaired. Kevin and Don were amazing. It was 90 degrees on the ground, so I can't imagine what the temp was on the roof. They removed the tiles carefully so as to reuse them and took great care to clean up any debris. They kept us informed every step of the way and were very cordial and friendly. We were very impressed with their skills and work ethic. Now we are ready for hurricane season with a roof that won't leak. Would definitely recommend J&K as an honest, local business with fair pricing.

I hired them to replace my roof. Once the work was completed, I noticed a leak in the ceiling. Called them and when they came out they said the leak was due to the stucco around my chimney. I had a stucco repairman come out and he couldn't repair it since they had not replaced the flashing around my chimney. In fact they just tucked the new shingles under the cracked stucco. When I called to ask to have the flashing fixed I was told it was not part of my contract but they would be happy to send someone out to give me an estimate. I left messages for the salesman I worked with and no response. After paying over $14K on a new roof, I am paying another roofing company over $3K to replace the flashing!

SG Roofing is not punctual, courteous or timely. They do not return phone calls, voicemails, emails or text messages. They demand payment BEFORE the work is done. The consumer does not know if or when they are coming or leaving the site. When are they coming back? Who knows. This is no way to run a business. My advice is do not hire them.
