"Danny installed a new septic tank and drain field a few years ago and also emptied it every two years. I was always happy with his service. Now that I moved to another home, I needed another new tank and drain field since the old one was original and not functional. Danny gave me a fair price and performed the work in a timely manner, He is very professional, friendly and does an amazing job. I would recommend him to everyone."

"I called A Alligator frantically looking for a company to pump my tank (1 pm).  They were able to get me on the schedule for the early evening (they didnt even give me attitude when I kept calling back - patience is a virtue!)
Brandon came with the vac truck, located my septic tank (I didn't know exact location) popped the lid, discovered that it wasn't full but actually could use some repair.  He then cleaned out a blockage in our plumbing line which fixed the issue we were dealing with.  A quote was provided for additional work to get out tank up and running as it should be.
they really helped me out and the service was comprehensive and the folks were friendly.

"Company provided next-day service to clean out our septic tank. They showed up on time and quickly located the lid without having to tear up our yard. Both men were friendly, cheerful and displayed a positive attitude about their work. In no time, they were done with the job. Finally, the price came in at $20 less than quoted on the phone. Overall, a great experience. In two years I will definitely call on Jason's again."

Septic Tanks questions, answered by experts

While abandoning a tank without treating it and following strict rules is illegal, there are several other ways to dispose of an old septic tank. One standard method is to pump out and crush the tank where it rests and bury it in the soil. Another is to remove it and transport it to a landfill. Finally, if abandonment is the best option, your contractor must pump out the tank and fill it with inert material, such as sand or concrete, depending on local regulations.

Start by finding the septic tank, marked by an access lid near your home. From there, the drain field extends outward in a series of trenches. Look for greener, lusher grass, as drain fields promote plant growth due to moisture and fertilizer. You can also check property records, use a soil probe to detect damp soil, or hire a septic professional with ground-penetrating radar equipment to map the drain field’s location.

Yes, it is possible to drill a well by hand, but it calls for a good deal of physical labor. Drilling a well by hand is best suited for softer soil, and it may not be possible through rockier terrain. For wider and deeper holes, companies with professional equipment make the job much easier.

A new water well pressure tank costs $300 to $500. If you choose to hire a plumber for the job, expect labor to cost $125 to $200. If the tank is difficult to access, labor will cost more. Diaphragm and bladder well pressure tanks have similar costs. One-compartment well pressure tanks are less costly, but they have a higher chance of waterlogging. Larger pressure tanks cost more and hold more water, but they don’t increase water pressure.

There are a few signs that you might notice if your drain field is bad. For starters, if you see standing water or soggy grass above your drain field, it could mean that it isn’t working correctly. Or, if your yard smells like sewage, it could also indicate that there’s a problem with your drain field. Repairing a drain field costs an average of $2,000 to $15,000.
