"Highly recommend for your tree, waste removal and silt fence needs. Dell (Ridell) is very responsive, reasonable and reliable in completing each job contacted for. I used his services for a silt fence on a half acre lot after land clearing. It was a difficult job requiring several site visits. He communicated exactly what was needed and is very professional. Passed city inspection with no issues. Tree and waste removal services - also excellent service. Highly recommended!"

"Best Miami tree cutting service! I had a great experience with Fernando's Lawn Services. He came out and looked at the trees I needed triming back and a couple of stumps that were an eye sore. Gave me a good price and showed up with a professional truck with lift and beautifully cut back the trees and trimmed surounding areas as well as grinded some tree roots that where in the way of a pathway. Checked and made sure we where happy and we are very happy! He and his team are very professional and friendly. This is what great service is all about."

"Trimscape is an superior lawn and tree service company and it shows in the quality of their work. Patrick is a very knowledgeable horticultural specialists. Trimscape removed two Bismarck palm tree stumps that was a real eyesore. In addition, I'm really into curb appeal and Trimscape has made my lawn very attractive. I have received many compliments on my yard thanks to this company."

"I can't say enough about my experiences with VH Tree Service. The Owners, Huriel and Christopher Hernandez, are so professional, and so is their team of workers. Also, when they tell you they'll be there at 8 am, expect them there promptly. I would recommend their service to anyone without hesitation. They are simply the best in town. As a bonus, they also speak Spanish and English fluently. A+++"

"Fifteen years back, I hired Cesar to do the borders on my front yard, and I absolutely loved it! I was on the hunt for someone to match my backyard, and while repainting my kitchen, I found his card behind my fridge. I thought, why not give him a call? To my astonishment, he’s still in business after all these years! He answered the phone and came over to give me a free estimate. Cesar managed to recreate the same pattern to match the front of my house and gave me a fair price. He designed the borders to complement my yard and even created a safer step-off for my patio using some leftover pavers I had. I had also bought a new shed, and he was so kind put it together and build a paver base to keep it stable. Also I needed my sprinkler system fixed, and he referred another guy for that. Now my yard is absolutely stunning! My neighbors noticed this and they started using his services. While he was working on their yard, he even came by to help me blow the leaves off my sidewalk. I can’t recommend Green Grass 3 Landscaping enough! If you need anything done, don’t hesitate to give him a call."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

You should prune ornamental trees once every other year after the fruit has matured and begun to drop. You should also prune out dead branches whenever you see them. Pruning too often can stimulate more growth, especially in faster growing varieties like Bradford pears.

A few signs a tree may be dead is if the leaves are dead and there are no signs of new blooms. You can also perform a scratch test on some of the branches to check the condition of the cambium layer beneath the bark.

If it is green, it is still alive, but if several are dry, brittle, and brown, the tree may be dying or dead. Always consult an arborist before assuming your tree is dead because you may be able to save it.

It is possible to cut down a tree on your property yourself, but it is generally not recommended unless specific conditions are met. You should only consider this project if the tree is small (e.g., under 4-5 inches in diameter and short enough that you don't need a ladder to reach the branches), and you are experienced in handling a chainsaw. The tree must also be located far from any power lines, fences, homes, or other structures. Even for small trees, the work can be dangerous, and it's always advisable to have a spotter to ensure the tree falls correctly and no branches fall on you.

For any tree that is large, requires a ladder to access, or is near electrical lines or structures, you should always hire a professional. Attempting to remove a large tree yourself is extremely dangerous, poses a risk of serious injury, and could result in significant damage to your property.

Before any tree removal, it's also important to check your local and state regulations to ensure the tree is not historic or otherwise protected by your city.

The fastest ways to remove a tree stump are by grinding it or burning it.

Stump grinding is often the quickest method, with professionals able to chip away a stump and its roots within a single session. You have the option to hire a professional stump removal service or rent a stump grinder to do it yourself. However, it's important to note that these machines can be large, difficult to transport, and dangerous to operate without prior experience. For safety reasons, hiring a local arborist or landscape specialist is often recommended.

Burning is another fast option. Before you begin, check your local burn laws. The process involves drilling holes into the stump, filling them with vegetable oil, and waiting 24 to 48 hours. Afterward, you can add charcoal bricks to the surface and light the fire, which must be attended at all times.

For a more affordable but much slower alternative, you can use potassium nitrate pellets to accelerate the natural decomposition process. This method typically takes four to six months.
