"Leo was dedicated to providing us high quality painting service in the three bedrooms and six closets of the house we just purchased. He overcame flaws with the older previously painted surfaces and trim work, and took time to ensure the best results. We highly recommend Leo to others in need of home painting!"

"I contracted Affordable and Superior painting to paint the exterior of the house in Florida. Victor was very professional and was in constant communication with me on the progress of the job. His crew did a fantastic job and left no mess at the end of the job. I would highly highly recommend this company for any of your painting or pressure washing needs"

"The owner is extremely courteous & was always on time with calls and appointments from the 1st day for the estimate through patiently waiting for our additional renovations to be done so they could get started painting. His crew for pressure cleaning, fixing the stucco and concrete along with the painting crew were also very efficient and very courteous. My husband & I were extremely happy from start to finish & we absolutely recommend Paint Central Florida. ?"

Painting questions, answered by experts

While the answer varies based on weather, 10 a.m. is a good time to start painting. The dew will have dried, meaning there’s no moisture on the house, and the temperature will likely be moderate and the sunlight less direct. Starting mid-morning should also give you enough daylight and pleasant weather to work on the job for several hours.

Regular cleaning, rust-proof coatings, and checking fasteners help prolong the lifespan.

Preparation includes cleaning the fence, sanding any rough areas, applying a primer if necessary, and ensuring dry weather for application.

Yes, you can limewash surfaces other than brick. Plaster, stone, stucco, and concrete can all also be limewashed. Any porous surface that will absorb the wash is a good candidate for limewash, although it won’t help much with waterproofing. If you choose to limewash over paint, you’ll need to prep before applying it to avoid a powdery, chalky finish. Shiny surfaces like metal or glass can’t absorb limewash, so it’s not suited for these.

Staining pressure-treated wood is a recommended practice. While inherently resilient, it's not impervious to moisture and UV exposure. Staining treated wood is feasible and recommended for enhanced protection and longevity. Applying stain and sealant safeguards against degradation, prolonging its life span. These measures shield the wood from environmental threats while augmenting its aesthetic appeal, ensuring your investment endures the test of time.
