Small jobs welcome

"Our experience with Auger's Plumbing was an excellent one. The woman who scheduled our appt. was friendly and efficient; she was able to get someone here that same day. When Jose and Erick arrived, Jose quickly discovered the problem with our water heater and fixed it immediately. He was very knowledgeable, explained the situation, and gave us some helpful information, as well. He also waited to be sure the issue was resolved. Very impressed with this company; Jose and Erick did a great job!"

"Excellent service. They contacted me right away and was able to get me in the same day. I had a garbage disposal installed and my washer drain box replaced due to corrosion. "We have hired Esposito's on three occasions for various landscaping projects. The first time we hired them, they had to correct work another local company had done badly on a retention wall. We learned from that experience and the next time we needed someone for a similar purpose we called Esposito's first! Our latest project involved trenching, laying 75 ft of pipe, and installing a true french drain system to provide a drainage solution for our water treatment system. Anthony Esposito is always courteous, professional, and thoroughly knowledgeable. The work is always completed in a timely manner and the work-site is left as clean as possible. Monique and Jessica in the office are helpful, polite and prompt in handling quotes, contracts, and messages. We would highly recommend Esposito's for all of your landscaping projects and will definitely be using them again ourselves!"

"They unclogged the toilet and fixed the leak under the other toilet. They said that’s what was what cause the water stains on the French quarters and to call if the problem continues. The water stains are all around the bathroom and could not be caused by what they said. The problem started before the leak from the base of the toilet. Other then the leak would not cause a stain across the room. Then they told me it was expensive but that’s because 2 people came for the job."

French Drains questions, answered by experts

There are a few ways to unclog a toilet without a plunger. Break up the clog with homemade solutions containing soap, vinegar, and baking soda, or simply let hot water spend some time in the drain. You can also use a two-liter soda bottle filled with water to push pressurized water into the pipe to dislodge the debris (see the steps above).

Chemical drain cleaners can work to clear clogs in pipes, but their use should be approached with caution. These harsh chemicals can damage pipes over time, and they can also harm the environment. Use them sparingly and consider alternative methods such as using a plunger or a drain snake. If you have concerns about a persistent clog, it's best to consult a professional who can safely and effectively address the issue without causing further damage to your plumbing system.

Yes, frozen pipes can prevent a toilet from working correctly. If the pipes are frozen, water cannot flow, which means your toilet tank won't be able to refill after a flush. This will prevent the toilet from flushing again. Depending on which lines are frozen, the ice can also block the drain pipe, preventing water from flushing away.

As a temporary workaround, you can manually add water to the tank for each flush. To clear a frozen drain pipe, you can try filling the toilet bowl or tank with warm water and flushing to help thaw the ice. However, the best long-term solution is to unfreeze the pipes to get your toilet back in working order.

French drains may fail when they become clogged with soil granules that slip through the pores of the landscaping fabric and through the holes in the pipe.

Over time, this debris can build up inside the pipe and prevent water flow. To prevent this failure from happening, regularly flush out your French drain and keep debris away from the inlet grate.

Yes, flushing a clogged toilet can make it overflow. While flushing the toilet may push enough pressure through the system to dislodge the clog, this is unlikely. Your best bet is to use a plunger and hope the suction can break up whatever is blocking the pipe. If this doesn’t work, use a plumbing auger or call a pro to help.
